In this article in @arabnews , H.E. @Lolwah_Alkhater outlines how #Qatar’s @YearsofCulture has evolved into a model of cultural diplomacy rooted in co-creation, mutual respect, and long-term collaboration. Now in its 15th year, the initiative is no longer just about showcasing Qatar abroad, it’s about building authentic global relationships that involve artists, scholars, students, and institutions alike. The themes mentioned by Minister Al-Khater, such as moving beyond symbolic exchanges to sustained partnerships, supporting grassroots and institutional collaboration, prioritizing reciprocal learning and global inclusion, creating space for voices from the #GlobalSouth in global narratives, resonates perfectly with @QatarUniversity's strategy for ethical and impactful #internationalization. @QU_Int has long advocated for meaningful partnerships over vanity metrics, #research integrity over ranking shortcuts and #Global engagement that respects local identity and mutual benefit. Basically ensuring that universities are not just chasing numbers, but actively shaping a more collaborative and culturally intelligent world. Qatar’s cultural diplomacy isn’t just about image it’s about intentional presence, and higher education plays a vital role in that mission. #QatarUniversity #CulturalDiplomacy #Internationalization #HigherEducation #ResearchIntegrity #YearsOfCulture #SoftPower #GlobalEngagement #Qatar
