I made a notes app that's honest about your files. you write like you're writing normal text. Behind the curtains it saves a real markdown file to your folder, one any editor can open. doit.yasliu.com

the scariest part of coding isn't the bugs. it's when it runs perfectly the first try and you just sit there wondering what it's actually doing

Someone fixed the part that causes the most friction when switching to Linux: the install. hop installs Linux next to Windows, no USB stick. It pulls the official ISO, checks it, shrinks your drive safely, then walks you through install. Undo gives the spaces back. link below

So, DeepSeek just open sourced the agent they use on their own repos. How it works? It listens to the Git Repo, you give it work, it does it solo, replies with a PR and of course acts when asked and only speaks when someone must act. github.com/deepseek-ai/dsh-s…

job post: "junior role, 3-4+ years of experience" what are you folks actually looking for?? hand someone a real chance and experience teaches 3x faster but sure, wait for someone who's been coding since the womb the experience requirement is why experience doesn't exist yet

So instead of notepad or a separate previewer, use DoIT for that readme you just want to peek at. notes go in categories you choose, drag and drop moves them between categories. native notes autosave, external files get an explicit save button.

Dock mode: a compact dock that rests wherever you want on screen, so you can write without changing tabs. built with Tauri 2 + Rust, MIT licensed, windows only for now. code: github.com/Yasliu/DoIT

the "ai coding is dogshit" crowd lost me if the fun's gone for you? fair, to each their own but "it's dogshit" with zero argument? noise if you know how to code properly, ai is the cheapest senior dev you'll ever hire. your fundamentals decide: faster or just confidently wrong

I need a windows variant 🤣
this might be the most unnecessary mac app i've ever built tinyhand.app

So, someone apparently made a Claude skill that unslops AI slop. Unslop finds the purple gradients, glows and shouty copy every AI built site has, then redesigns the screen pass by pass. github.com/heydamir/unslop

The author had been posting unslopping redesigns for a while, one of his design posts hit a million views, and this skill is that process turned into a tool. Works on next, react, vue, svelte, even a live site by link.
1M views on a design post is wild 🤯 I'll share the unslop skill for Claude in a few days!

TWO NEURAL NETWORKS NOW LIVE ON AN $8 CHIP one dreams up a fake game, the other learns to play it inside that dream breakout, pong, flappy, pacman, all hallucinated frame by frame world models normally eat gpus. this one runs on a microcontroller github.com/SheepSeb/tinyworl…

Gemini has been failing math in the funniest way. Ask for a solution, get one back confidently. Book says otherwise. Ask why? it flips and validates the book. It never owns the flip though. If it can't point to the line that broke, it isn't checking, it's deferring.

rookie bug of mine went live on Nirnoy this week the sticky side panel stopped being sticky. scroll down, empty panel. found it and my stomach dropped. fixed it same day. only witness? the tech using it with real patients, too busy to judge my css prod truly keeps you humble

1,285 AI-QUOTED STATS, CHASED BACK TO THEIR SOURCES fewer than half led to a study that actually says that like: "44% of salespeople give up after one follow-up." all 5 assistants quoted it. no study behind it worth 10 min if you research with llms trakkr.ai/trakkr-research/zo…
