I rarely post but have found the out-pouring of love for dear Helen Snelson so moving. I was privileged to work alongside her as she chaired the @histassoc secondary committee for 6 years. Words can’t do justice to what she meant to us all, but wow! What a legacy she leaves ❤️

Immensely saddened to hear of the passing of Helen Snelson. She has been a huge inspiration to me and many others, as well as a constant source of support and energy.
She would want us to keep working at it, keep accepting each other as part of a ‘broad church’ of teachers.

I’m so sad to hear the news about Helen Snelson today. She was such a wonderful person and I am so happy to have known her and to have been guided by her in my PGCE in York. She was immensely kind and I was in awe of her knowledge of history and teaching
For those who knew and loved my inspirational friend and colleague, Helen Snelson, it is my sad job to tell you that she died yesterday afternoon. I know how much she meant to so many of you and she was so grateful for your support and love these last few months.
