Roses print out NOW on campus!
Read our extensive coverage of the Roses weekend, featuring match reports, tasters and opinion articles, and just what went wrong for York in their third Roses rout on the bounce
Absolute pleasure to have commentated on the Women’s 1sts rugby game on Sunday for @URY1350 @ystv and @bailrigg_fm as York held onto a great win against Lancaster 5-17.
So good to see such an amazing crowd for a women’s rugby fixture!

Ridiculously proud, emotional, sunburnt and sleep-deprived Sports Editor writing this tweet, everyone couldn’t have made a better representation of York Vision!!

On the bus home from Roses, with representatives Ava (aka the best marketing director to grace the station) and Sanny from @ystv*

York may have lost Roses last night, but York’s student media were able to secure some loo roll at half 1 in the morning and I think that was the real victory!

For UYWAFC Roses were AGAIN, well and truly WHITE.
The 1s took the lead with a world class finish from a 25+ yard freekick, 5 minutes in by Megan Officer.
Lancaster battled hard but with 59’ minutes on the clock El Bland decided to hit another worldie, half volley.
2-0 W🤍💛
If you're in need of an afternoon pick-me-up, The Donut Man (a self-described Lancaster Uni celebrity) is open for business tomorrow. Vision had the pleasure of sampling a few donuts earlier this afternoon. We can confirm they were delicious, delightful and delectable! 🍩

It was a match and half but it was heartbreak for York at the death as Lancaster clinched victory in the Women’s Basketball
