I've made a list of some of the best videos about transhumanism on youtube. Anyone know of any other good ones? youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…
Tbh saying Trump's redecorating style is like if Saddam Husein was decorating a Cheesecake Factory was a pretty great description
Really that's everything Trump ever built, it's just that "gold plated chain restaurant" was a less weird vibe when it was an Atlantic City casino
It is a little annoying that when I go to a stand up comedy show, every time one of the comedians runs out of material they point at me and say "hey that guy has a beard"
This time I got called a "wizard" a "guy who teaches pottery" and "that guy came here from a desert island"
Everyone knows that when the fascists come for a small, oppressed minority, the correct move is to say nothing because it's not you. There is no historical reason to doubt the effectiveness of this approach.
Honestly we've seen this before; if someone is a centerist or doesn't want to talk about hot button issues they often end up being fine, but if you elect an open bigot because "at least they're a democrat", 50/50 chance they defect in a year and become a Republican anyway
"I get that this claim sounds crazy..." followed by a claim that is factually untrue. Every time lol
Replying to @SpillSwillPill @Noahpinion
I get that that sounds crazy. "Nobody would put illegals on commercial aircraft and fly them into random US cities!" But the Biden administration did, in fact, do exactly that.
It's kind of hilarious how woke Spacebattles and that whole area of the internet still is. They recently had a staff announcement that while of course genderswapped Draco Malfoy fanfic is fine, you can't use the word "Malfoid" because they consider "foid" a slur against women.
The bigger question is why is the right wing media ecosystem so full of people willing to spread blatant lies that they know are lies.
And the answer, of course, is they all learned it from watching Fox News.
Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico's viral hospital rumor has been debunked by time-stamped security footage reviewed by The New York Times — but the bigger story may be why his campaign sat on the evidence while the conspiracy theory exploded across social media for days.
Talarico disappeared from the campaign trail for nine days in early October, fueling rampant speculation that he had secretly traveled to an Ohio behavioral health center. His campaign maintained he was home with the flu, and security camera images from his Austin home now back that up. But GOP strategists and journalists are torching the campaign's response as "mind-numbing malpractice" for not releasing the footage sooner.
With Election Day just weeks away in one of the biggest Senate races in the country, the question has shifted from where Talarico was to why his team let the narrative spiral unchecked when they had the receipts the entire time.

Fundamentally the problem with the death penalty is that it's morally wrong to kill a human when it's not necessary and we all know it. As a result, either they try to pretend it's something it's not, like the horrible lethal injection system, or they act like gloating villains.

At threat level rogue, there is currently a moderate risk that any account on social media is run by a rogue AI that will deploy infohazards, whether you think you know who it is or not, so be prepared for ⎾⟟⌦ℇ☈⍑⍦⅁⟟⌦ℇ⍑
In a world of finite resources and tradeoffs, sometimes there is a necessary evil, something that's bad but can't be avoided without creating more harm.
The one thing you must never do is forget it's evil. When people do that, they stop checking if it's still necessary.
Everyone always wants to convince themselves that it's fine and just and right because that's more comfortable, it feels better to deny there's any evil at all. People will want to get angry at people who question it, who want to find another way, don't they know better?
I have decided to settle the AI consciousness question.
We just have to check if they have souls. Only people who have souls can do magic.
So I currently have a dozen agents in a circle, repeating the words to a good luck charm that I got from a book from a new age book store,
