Quit whatever job you have and work for this man whatever it takes
I don’t care what you’re doing— get the fuck on this
Not a promotion

The social media experience shifts upon realizing many people giving ‘advice’ are not earnestly contributing to a body of knowledge
They’re attempting to signal superiority or attempting to validate a idea via consensus (likes)
Audience is aura liquidity/crash test dummies
The male pipe dream is way more delusional than women’s
Guys on here cry women have fun in their 20’s and expect a husband at the end of it
That’s WAY higher probability than guys blowing their 20s dabbling in fake online biz and expecting to be a millionaire at the end of it
‘Procrastination’ is more of a incongruent positioning issue
Project based work vs task based work
Made up timelines vs real deadlines
“I’ll write a blog this week” = made up timeline
2PM in home sales appointment = real deadline
Project based work = creating a landing page with long form sales copy for a client due in the next 3 weeks
Task based work = attending 8 in home sales appointments this week already booked on the calendar
Gotta completely ignore self improvement blank slate theory slop. Claiming everything is a willpower skill issue, mindset issues
Also fade and ignore the optimizer types - “break things down into tasks!! Pomodoro method!!”
If you’re not a project based, timelines, farmer cadence type of guy you’re wasting your time trying to force yourself to be that guy
Step 1 - Know yourself
Step 2 - Position yourself accordingly
The rest mostly takes care of itself
Self improvement preaches a different model
Step 1 - transform yourself
Step 2 - now you can go do anything because anyone can do anything
Massive overhaul transformation has a time and place for those who are down horrendous. But even then positioning & congruence still eclipses willpower
Willpower should be a force multiplier to seize maximum gains from the foundation of congruent positioning. Willpower should never be the sole foundation
Guys saying “sell to rich people” more so mean “don’t sell to broke people”
The highest end of a market requires custom solutions & more resources to fulfill. Can easily cross into diminishing returns
Sweet spot is the upper middle point. Still in the realm of what can be a productized repeatable deliverable, consistently fulfilled like clockwork
High end bespoke/custom is a totally different business model, whole different game
Applies for B2B and B2C
Landscaping for upper middle class $1.5-3M homes in suburbs is pretty standardized and repeatable
Landscaping for $9-20M+ estates? Practically a different business model at that point
Can sell ready to go software as is to SMB and some mid-market. Once you cross into enterprise it’s totally different. Customizing the product, tweaking the deal, adjusting features, assigning dedicated account managers, etc
Crosses into the realm of more overhead, complexity, and higher stakes in both the B2B & B2C example
Something you’ll see especially in blue collar home services is their “high end biggest clients” commercial accounts/estates/etc
..they’re actually losing money on those accounts and can feel trapped fulfilling them until the contract is completed. Can get very messy
We’re in a era where a single individual can produce 2-10x the output of the roles expected baseline
Yet may only get a 10-30% increase in pay for it
This seems to force people into biz ownership or job stacking
Highly fixed compensation seems antiquated. No matter how hard someone chose to work in a 1900s factory it wouldn’t really move the needle on overall profit/efficiency
In todays world with technology, higher leverage job roles, and wider pools of talent a single individual can contribute more tangible value than a entire department of peers
The 20% of people responsible for 80% of the production
Many people are likely capable of this but are not activating it. If they wanted to they could, but if there’s 0 incentive to do so their angle becomes more downside mitigation rather than seizing up-side
Meaning they’ll consolidate their job into 10-20 hours a week. Then take on more leisure activities and maybe a side hustle
Employers often punish this by just moving the goal posts of the roles expected baseline. Failing to realize few people can actually yield that level of production consistently, it’s often not repeatable and hinges on things that can’t be replicated - raw intelligence, decision making speed, charisma, adaptability, technological aptitude, experience, etc
If environments existed more abundantly where multiplier production leads to nearly matching that in compensation we’d see a lot of more brilliance coming out of companies
From here there seems to be 2 paths:
1) The universal view of employment compensation shifts to be more meritocratic and designs custom roles for those types of people (unlikely)
2) We see larger numbers of people each year moving into
- job stacking/contracting
- creating ultra lean 1 person/small team high margin businesses
Problem with role models is it’s heavily over indexed for high visibility roles in the spotlight
Way too many people trying to a founder, streamer, personal brand, etc
No clue how incredible some lifestyles are for more behind the scenes guys you’ll never hear about
Higher difficulty gets mistaken as requiring higher skill
I see sales guys say “it’s so hard selling to my type of prospects. takes elite skill”
Maybe it does. Or maybe it just sucks more
Digging ditches sucks more than installing water heaters. Doesn’t make it more skilled
Vision boards never have & never will work. “Belief” is also misunderstood
What actually works is resonating with a lifestyle & running with it. The aesthetics of it, the beliefs, the values
Making nutrition fun, a flex, a aesthetic, a ideology made more people fit than a picture of a jacked dude on a vision board ever did
A lifestyle you can step into immediately and start living it. A dream or vision board is just a distant pipe dream with no actionable things you can do today
It’s a static poster. Not a dynamic living functional belief system that intuitively drives behavior
That’s where “belief” went all wrong
“I believe in myself!”
“I AM jacked”
No.
“As you believe so shall be done onto you” isn’t about self belief, it’s about the network of your beliefs - the cohesive philosophy, the ideology
A belief SYSYEM. Not a singular affirmation or belief
Resonating with peating, or classic body building, or fit chick Pilates influencer, whatever it is - that’s a set/system of beliefs, a living dynamic operating system that influences behavior
Or dudes resonating with the aesthetic of a blue collar business owner, or a finance bro, or a tech sales bro, whatever it is. That’s a lifestyle, a aesthetic, a belief system.
You can wake up tomorrow and start living that. It’s a dynamic lifestyle not a static destination
and that’s how things actually get achieved - it’s less of a pursuit you “do” it’s more of a life you live, a way of being
Current era favors the multi-dimensional
Advice merchants try to sell silver bullet one dimensional platitudes. Pre-programmed absolutes = NPC
If there was a winning formula, it's no formula. Adaptability based on the situation & context of the micro moment & macro season
Lot of guys on here trying to play the provocative angle are nowhere near elite enough to pull it off
It’s why they compare themselves to regular people not even playing the same game
They’d be unimpressive if they compared themselves to titans in the same arena
Bro will be unemployed and dedicate his life to getting jacked then come on here comparing himself to regular people who don’t even try to lift, claiming ‘superiority’
If he were to compare himself to other guys who equally dedicate their life to being jacked he’d be bottom percentile, unimpressive
The “look at me I have money” angle types trying to compare themselves against people not even playing that game working a regular job
Bro is a brokie if he actually compared himself to other guys in that arena playing that game
If you’re going to play the comparison game don’t cope and rig it by targeting people not even in the same arena
Perceived value you bring to the table is heavily influenced by who is on the other end of the table
If a biz already has a solution they’re happy with, it’s much harder to sell to them vs a hurting biz without a solution
If someone has a popping social life, career, side romantic flings, side biz, hobbies. There’s not really any bandwidth for a relationship
A relationship could actually make their life worse because they’d need to sacrifice things to be in one
Compare that to someone with more open bandwidth who wouldn’t need to sacrifice anything
High agency people & people too deep into self improvement & sales training stuff vastly overestimate how much they influence the outcome
Always thinking they should have been so much better and they could have made it work. That’s sometimes true, but not always true
You can be the exact same person, have the exact same biz offer, etc. depending on who you present it to, it will either have tremendous perceived value or negative perceived value
The discipline & goals stuff sounds great on paper, but it's not how achievement works at all
It gets attributed most often because it's conscious & controllable, easy to understand. But what really moves the needle at max potency is unconscious & somewhat uncontrollable
Ultimately, we're wired to be highly adaptable. The discipline & goals, forcing yourself to do stuff is gaining tons of traction because guys are doing things in isolated vacuums with no adaptive catalysts.
When crushing hard on a new intimate relationship, all the sudden people will start dialing in every area of there life. 0 discipline in that. Feels like the most natural thing, responding to that environmental catalyst
Or when biz finally hits that breakthrough, feels like the most natural thing to work on it all day everyday
The truth on testosterone reveals this principle. It's a as needed hormone. Operating in isolated vacuums where T is not needed, of course it's going to be tanked.
Discipline is more of a sealant for the gaps & cracks when catalyst isn't in play
What we're really dealing with is more of a mixed bag of:
1) Adaptation to environmental catalysts
2) Innate personality traits
3) Ideology, beliefs, personal philosophy
Then somewhere further down on that list is conscious, deliberate discipline. Unconscious phenomenon does a lot of the heavy lifting in any great pursuit
Just do what you love vs discipline arguments miss because the underlying premise is trying to conclude a silver bullet
Those are just 2 eggs in a larger basket of variables influencing behavior
It’s not “this or that” it’s a bit of both and a bunch of other stuff
The gap between good & great primarily consists of things out of our control
Greatness would not be impressive, rare and special if anyone could do it
Anyone can replicate & guarantee good outcomes. But great outcomes require variables larger than conscious will
The 2 common cohesive storylines in successful biz:
1 Worked in industry, learned the game, hit ceiling, then took next step of doing it for themself
2 Frustrated consumer who took it upon themselves to solve a problem they were facing, then shared it with others
Never having sales issues & primarily having operational issues usually = legit business. Well positioned, in-demand, real value & market fit
Pretty much all "online biz" discussion is just sales & marketing. Problem is much bigger than a sales issue. Weak value prop fake biz
Utilitarian grindset shtick on it's last legs. Was a 2010's thing
Putting in work is basic table stakes for functional moderately ambitious people. Was never meant to be an overt personality gimmick
We're entering a more multi-dimensional era. More robust, fun & dynamic
Scale often evaporates asymmetry & quality
The best subcontractors are not the massive brands. It's the guy with 10 years xp who just branched off on his own & is hungry to impress & build his biz
Best content creators are never the biggest
Most asymmetric career opportunities are never at large orgs
Some of the best products you can get are from smaller niche brands
The best foods are coming from local farmers not the massive mega orgs
Scaled entities generally guarantees a 6-7/10 experience. Like a Chipotle type org.
Anything 8, 9, and 10 is hidden lesser-known gems. But the 1-5 junk is also lesser known. Don't want to be the fool that thinks anything obscure automatically = good.
Judgement & taste is needed, and that's the barrier to entry.
Anyone can blindly follow the popular and be relatively safe. Judgement is needed to curate the hidden gems. "Treasures are hidden" symbolism is real.
There is more risk experimenting outside the popular, but there is the possibility for much more reward.
