Player Development
Never let a player leave the cage wondering if today's session was successful.
Give them one measurable objective.
Track it.
Improve it.
Repeat it.
🧵Something we’ve been trying to incorporate more into our hitting groups is finding ways to make our drill work competitive.
Today we took Exit Velocity and Bat Speed work and turned it into a game we called “The Bank.” 🧵⬇️ Creds: @QuentinEvers
That’s the part I loved.
We’re still training intent and the physical qualities we wanted to work on.
But now there’s something attached to the result.
As the bank gets bigger, the swing gets a little more meaningful.

A lot of growth happening with our hitters early this fall. Love the direction we’re heading and the work these guys continue to put in! 📈⚾️

@MMULancersBSB is back with ArmCare for year two!
The NAIA program saw some big development:
💪 784 lbs of total arm strength gained
📈 +41 lbs average strength gain
🔥 +20 average ArmScore gain
✅ 100% of players improved in both arm strength and ArmScore
That 100% improvement rate stands out. Excited to have the Lancers back for another year!

Here's a look at the assessment into Swing Design process @DrivelineBB. Everything we address in the cage shows up during a hitter's initial Mocap.
If you have an athlete who struggles creating an efficient load and forward move here are some ways we can attack that as coaches.

🧵Got reminded a little bit of my “why.”
As coaches, it’s easy to get caught up in the wins and losses, development, recruiting, practices, and everything else that comes with the job. But at the end of the day, this is what it’s really about.
The relationships you build, the people you get to impact, and hopefully leaving guys a little better than you found them.
I’ve been extremely fortunate to coach some great young men and have some incredible families trust me with their sons along the way.

Turn on your X notifications.
When a college coach follows you:
Follow them back.
Send them a DM.
Include your metrics, video, and academic info.
Finish with a specific question that gives them a direction to take the conversation.
Don’t just say, “Thanks for the follow, Coach!”
Give them a reason to respond.
A follow is an open door.
Walk through it.
