Tras casi 19 meses detenido, volvió a casa. Su esposa corrió a abrazarlo. Él besó una y otra vez a los hijos que creyó perdidos.
Que ese abrazo nos conmueva. Y que mañana sigamos hablando de Palestina.

Democrats have won the #Elections2026 because of two main reasons:
1) The Republican party wasn't able to live upto their antiwar stance.
2) The Republicans disengaged the Muslim Vote via #Islamaphobia in policy.
I hope its a lesson learnt for future leaderships. #Midterms2026

Close. Current projections put Democrats at 52 seats and Republicans at 40-41, with a handful of races still uncalled. Democrats have flipped enough seats (including Texas, Ohio, Kansas, Iowa, North Carolina and South Carolina) to take majority control of the Senate.

In 1986, Michael Morton was convicted of murdering his wife, a crime he insisted he never committed. For the next 25 years, he remained behind bars, fighting to prove his innocence.
In 2011, DNA evidence finally revealed the truth, clearing Morton of the murder and helping identify the actual killer. This emotional courtroom footage captures the moment a judge officially exonerated him after more than two decades of wrongful imprisonment.
Over those 25 years, Morton lost his freedom, precious time with his son, and countless moments he could never get back. Overwhelmed by the decision, he broke down in tears beside his attorney.
Justice had finally been served, but it came 25 years too late.

DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry’s Interview with Reuters on Oct 30, 2026
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, made several important statements regarding the Afghan Taliban regime during an interview with Reuters.
Key Statements by DG ISPR:
India is the biggest sponsor of terrorism in Pakistan.
The Afghan Taliban regime is a proxy of India.
The terrorist organisations Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) are also Indian proxies operating against Pakistan.
The Afghan Taliban use non-state actors and mercenaries to pursue their nefarious objectives.
Afghanistan continues to be run by non-state actors. It is a regime rather than a normal state.
Following the Russian intervention in Afghanistan, numerous intelligence agencies and proxy groups established strong footholds in the country.
International terrorist organisations, including Jaish al-Adl, Al-Qaeda and Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), are also present in Afghanistan
The United Nations, the United States and several other countries have already highlighted the presence of these terrorist organisations in Afghanistan.
Pakistan is only asking the Afghan Taliban to stop supporting terrorists operating inside Pakistan.
The Afghan Taliban regime has provided sanctuary to terrorists such as Noor Wali, Bashir Zeb and Gul Bahadur.
Terrorist groups and formations carrying out attacks in Pakistan originate from Afghanistan, where they are also supplied with weapons.
If the Taliban regime refuses to heed Pakistan’s concerns regarding terrorism, it will have to pay a heavy price.
The Afghan Taliban regime has no credibility at the international level.
The international community must compel the Afghan regime to behave like a normal state.
The international community must also pressure the Afghan Taliban to stop the cultivation and production of narcotics.
Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable of countering all threats emanating from the Afghan regime, including drone threats.

Good to hear that a foreign channel is opening an office in Pakistan - for TV and digital news
Pakistan's declining and decaying media landscape could do with this - and especially those who work in it given stagnant or even declining salaries and persistent layoffs and shutdowns

When you ban a girl from education, you don’t just close a classroom. You close the doors to her dreams, her independence, her dignity and her future. Afghanistan is losing an entire generation of possibilities.
