✨Mini Rant✨ I figure since it is relevant to the woes DBD is going through right now and a lot of creators and friends in the DBD space are picking up on it alongside the killer statistics dropped today. I love this game, but I am extremely disheartened lately with the game. 🐦‍⬛ 1. DBD's power creep, No reworks,(lack of) bug fixes and pallet density has made most killers unplayable in the current form of the game. 2. Most players are unwilling to learn counterplay to killers and their mistakes. 3. Older content isn't getting updated fast enough to keep up and the game is stagnant. ✨I made videos on these topics, but I will use one of my mains as an example. Huntress is in the worst state she has ever been in. 1. 110 killer with pallet density, new tiles, and increased clutter. 2.Power crept by newer killers that more mobility and utility basekit. 3. So many bugs and little frustrations to keep up. ✨When a great huntress player is paired against good survivors, it is actual pain. Not because the huntress player expects a free or easy time, but you are fighting against the game itself to keep up alongside super efficient players. DBD works when match making is UNFAIR to a point. Switch to Jason or Springtrap against these same survivors, a night and day difference. Artist and Xeno has been feeling it for a time now as well. ✨The Ball is in BHVRs court. Older content (perks, Killers, Maps, offerings, add-ons) is not updated frequently and consistently enough or really at all. So we do it in batches, but are too afraid to actually change things up proper. Oh okay, so bugs are being fixed in the meantime for everyone right? lmao nahhh. ✨The balance team wants the game to appeal to both casuals and more competitive players. This has led to the recent 'meta shake up' where nothing ultimately changed as a result. We have killer perks in this midchapter that are meant to help M1s without actually fixing what is wrong with M1s in the current game. Themselves. The kit. The design. The add-ons. The bugs. 🐦‍⬛Why not bother changing the current stale meta? ✨Ohh thats right, BHVR want to retain as many players as possible since these players that are being catered to don't like it when their comfort non interactive build is no longer good enough and they have to learn and work with what's in the sandbox. Hurting interactivity and enjoyment of the game for its players. got it. ✨The game does not fundamentally work for MORE THAN HALF of the killer roster when paired against equally squared opponents. People want to be challenged fairly, not fight the game tooth and nail just to keep up. I shouldn't feel compelled to play the better killers to keep up or win. At times, I have to swing the game in my favor with equally non-interactive forms of play just to try and win. Which isnt fun btw. Even though we all know there are such matches that are simply unwinnable, so I have to compromise due to the game, not the players. ✨I offer solutions. ✨ Just. fix. the. game. Stop trying to CIRCUMVENT the games problems already with meaningless perk changes. Just do it BHVR. I am tired of it. Treat the game with respect and fix its problems. stop wasting time. OR AT LEAST COMMUNICATE WHAT THE PLAN IS TO US. THE COMMUNITY. 😱 As a community, we need to be willing to eager to get players involved for these changes and learn the depth the game has. These changes and unresolved problems make the game more shallow than it deserves. ✨If you are unwilling to learn counterplay or how the game works, you deserve to be left behind. I am tired of pretending we shouldn't. ✨
