The first successful mechanical print with @ZPolymersInc Tullomer. It's exceptionally rigid and should be functional (even with the minor crack from not fully clearing through-holes). Still needs more tuning but an effective application of lessons from yesterday.
Not just a 3D printing filament, but a fiber!
At Z-Polymers, we’re redefining possibilities with Tullomer™ Fiber, combining strength & versatility. Watch @joeltelling test its tensile strength vs stainless steel wire!

🔨 Let’s Talk About Failure... in Parts!
No matter how stiff a material is, understanding its failure mode is crucial.

Great article in @All3DP magazine on how TCA portfolio company @ZPolymersInc is lowering tooling costs with its Tullomer 3D printing filament.

🔥 What’s UL94 V0? 🔥
It means a material stops burning within 10 seconds, with no flaming drips.
Tullomerâ„¢ extinguishes fast and chars with no drips of burning material.

It was great having @joeltelling visit Z-Polymers last week. We are excited for people to see the content we produced. Keep a look out, it will be coming out soon.
Spent the day with @ZPolymersInc and learned A TON. Filmed some epic things too!

Printed one of the Gauntl33t glove finger pieces out of @ZPolymersInc Tullomer 🙂. Printed it at 1/4" thick because unlike aluminum it can't bend and risks snapping at 1/8". Probably should print another one to dip coat in alcohol thinned epoxy to mitigate any delamination that could occur over time. I also want to print the same part out of ABS and PLA to test stiffness against 🤔
Z-Polymers will be at the Massachusetts Manufacturing Mash-up hosted by Massachusetts Tech Collaborative.
Come visit our booth to check out some 3D printed parts and live printing of Tullomerâ„¢ at Gillette Stadium on September 25, 2024.

I've learned that the beige color may not be ideal; it sounds like an opaque whiter color is preferable. I'm also starting to better understand the extent of the shear thinning.
As pictured:
0.6mm nozzle
0.75mm width
0.01mm height
280c
180mm/s
strongest print yet?

Until I hear otherwise: mechanically speaking, I'd chase this color. If you were to pull on both ends of one of those tubes, the latest is significantly more challenging to separate.
