A lot of new people have been joining Zcash recently. To make the onboarding process easier, we’ve created a comprehensive guide covering 4 different wallets.
We were also inspired by ZECATHON while building this guide, so we decided to enter it in the Wildcard track.

ZecMap is changing. Coming Soon 👀
We’ve decided to bring the true meaning of the word “MAP” to life within the Zcash ecosystem.
Hard times require hard decisions.
ZecMap will no longer be just a map showing businesses where you can spend Zcash. We’re bringing together community maps, node information, and different types of data from across the Zcash ecosystem to turn ZecMap into a map of everything Zcash.
Zcout will make this much easier for you.
It will serve as an assistant that helps you discover, understand, and access all the data and information across the Zcash ecosystem.
We’re expanding the map. We’re making information accessible.
We are strong. 🛡️
Guys, Zcout isn’t a mascot. Think of it as an assistant that will be integrated into ZecMap and ZecMarket.
It will help you find the nearest businesses that accept Zcash, provide adoption data, and share information about Zcash.
We announced this assistant months ago, and now we’re getting ready to launch it very soon.

That makes sense. Actually, after seeing this result, I think a large majority of people speaking specifically about ZecMap may not be very supportive of Zcash being used in the real world. That could also be a factor, especially for ZecMap.
Let’s assume there are about 30 hours left until the Coinholder vote ends.
The Zecmap team had submitted a retroactive grant request. Behind that request is months of work and a tangible product that has already been built. Yet throughout the entire voting period, not a single question was asked.
Of course, I’m curious about the outcome of the vote. But I’d also genuinely like to understand how coinholders evaluate grants and what criteria they consider when making their decisions.
