I look back at my art career and realize I spent YEARS trying to chase a realistic art style instead of just letting my art be what it was gonna be. No wonder I was MISERABLE and hated drawing. I kept trying to draw what I thought others wanted to see.

Is there anything more soul crushing than drawing gift art for someone of their OC that comes straight from your heart JUST for the first thing they say about it to be something you got wrong or forgot on their OC?
