WATCH | I witnessed this incident on Fern Road in Hatfield on 24 October 2026.
There was a police roadblock in the residential area. The officers stopped a car and asked the driver to produce his driver's licence. The driver did not respond immediately because he wanted to park on the side of the road so he could safely take out his licence.
However, the police officers thought he was trying to drive away. They jumped into his car and started dragging him before he could explain that he only wanted to park on the side of the road to get his licence.

📹 Preacher Uebert Angel, a close ally of President Mnangagwa, used a church service on Sunday to denounce political attacks on Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.
“If you say Chiwenga is dangerous, and you come out and oppose him publicly, you’re giving us a public review that he is not as dangerous.”

Zimbabwe Nears One Year Without Load-Shedding Amid Daily Power Outages
ZIMBABWE is closing in on a year without load-shedding, having recorded 304 consecutive days without scheduled power cuts, thanks to improved generation at Hwange Thermal Power Station and Kariba South Power Station.
The country needs another 61 days to reach the milestone around December 27, which would mark its first full year without power rationing in more than two decades.
Yet, despite the national milestone, residents in Budiriro, Glen View, Highfield, Kuwadzana and Shamva have reported daily power outages lasting between four and six hours.
ZESA Holdings says the interruptions are caused by faults and planned maintenance, rather than load-shedding.
While Zimbabwe celebrates improved power generation, persistent local outages highlight the gap between an end to scheduled power cuts and reliable electricity for households.

After Nearly Seven Years, Mary Mubaiwa Removed from Remand in Attempted Murder Case
MARY Mubaiwa has been removed from remand in the attempted murder case involving her ex-husband, Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga, after the trial stalled over delays.
Regional magistrate Musaiona Shotgame on Tuesday declined to postpone the proceedings to November 25, bringing the current court process to an end.
The decision means prosecutors will have to proceed by summons if they intend to revive the case before a new magistrate.
Mubaiwa is accused of attempting to murder Chiwenga during his hospitalisation in South Africa in July 2019. She has not been convicted of the allegations.
The National Prosecuting Authority had sought to restart the trial after the previous presiding magistrate, Feresi Chakanyuka, was promoted to the High Court. Prosecutors had been trying to locate witnesses and issue fresh summons as they sought more time to prepare the case.

WE HAVE NO INTEREST IN GRAVE VISITOR
We have noted the rather dramatic, tear-stained video of a certain member of the preaching fraternity, who appears to be recording himself in a state of profound emotional distress to beg the Government for permission to visit his family’s graves.
Please allow us to offer the deepest condolences as well as assurances that the Government of Zimbabwe has absolutely zero interest in him, his theatrics, or the graves of his family. We are entirely unbothered. In fact, he is free to visit those graves as many times a year, or a day as his heart desires. He does not need a government permit for his grief, nor our blessing to stand by a tombstone.
We do, of course, understand that there are immense "street creds" to be gained by villainizing the Government, and that playing the victim is a guaranteed way to farm sympathy and clicks for those desperately seeking attention. But surely, zvimwe munonozanyaya. Using your deceased relatives as props for a social media pity party is a new low, even for the pulpit.
