Reddit is planning to make users log in to browse the platform, ending nearly 20 years of mostly open access.
The company says this will help stop bots from scraping its data, improve the user experience, and make ads more effective.
Reddit will start testing the change in selected markets outside the US in the coming months.
Reddit will still sell data access to companies like OpenAI and Google through licensing deals.

很多人就不理解了：内存芯片是苹果自己花真金白银买的，既然都焊上去了，做个顺水人情给用户 12GB 不香吗？

第一，市面上没有符合 M4 满血带宽的单颗 4GB 内存，去定制比直接买两颗 6GB 还要贵；
第二，也是最扎心的——如果入门版给你开放了 12GB，谁还愿意多花四五千块钱去买 1TB 的 16GB 顶配版？
宁可自己掏钱买 12G 的硬件，再亲手废掉三分之一，也绝不能让普通用户占到一点便宜！这已经不是“精准刀法”了，这是“宁可毁掉也不给你”的物理防越级！
以前我们吐槽苹果“把 8G 内存当黄金卖”，现在才知道，原来黄金早就在你机身里了，只是苹果上了把锁，钥匙扔进了太平洋。
