The Tiger Tribe Day was a great opportunity for families and friends of the 5th Battalion to meet each other and have a bit of fun too...apparently big and little kids like to have their face painted. #DutyFirst #GoodSoldiering

The Brigade’s first BUSHMASTER driver course of the year concludes this week. Great initiative from the instructors today to complete a DP familiarisation, increasing trainees understanding of the tactical requirements for their new role. #ArmyInMotion #BrilliantAtTheBasics

Ex CARBON PREDATOR concluded with a Rehearsal of Concept drill for Battle Group TIGER. The mud model, whilst a little old school, is still the best way to help visualise the battle space. #ArmyInMotion #DutyFirst

CO’s PT on Friday was an @AustralianArmy birthday present focused on preparing our soldiers physically and mentally, as well as a bit of tug-of-war fun at the end. A PTI’s interpretation of ‘birthday present’ is an interesting one... #ArmyInMotion #DutyFirst

Combat behaviours were the focus this week, with the Tiger Battalion using the Combat Skills Development Area to combine urban operations with simulated munitions (Airsoft) and Army First Aid training. Throw in the Darwin humidity, and physical conditioning is a big part too!!!

Nothing like a few Mortar Platoon line drills and some stomping around with base plates and mortar tubes on a beautiful Darwin morning to start the day. @_5RAR @5rar_RSM @HQ_1Bde – at Darwin, Northern Territory

Oz Run this morning was a great way for the Tiger Battalion to start Australia Day and kick off our engagement with the Darwin community in 2019 (before photos only...there weren’t too many smiles at the end). #ArmyInMotion #DutyFirst
