Real Madrid are outplaying Barcelona. 1-0 Mbappé. Barcelona can’t even compete right now. This is embarrassing.

Arsenal 2-0 Everton and we’re level with City. Konsa and Gabriel scored while they dropped points. Everton came to the Emirates and offered absolutely nothing. City are already feeling the heat from the Champions.

Chelsea lost at home to Tottenham. Own goal and a red card. Couldn’t even beat Spurs at Stamford Bridge. Embarrassing.

FT: Arsenal 2-0 Everton. Konsa and Gabriel both score. Clean sheet, three points, level with City. Everton offered nothing. This is what happens when you come to the Emirates and sit deep.

Only TWO defenders have 3+ assists in the Premier League this season: Ben White and Joško Gvardiol. White is quietly putting up elite numbers while half the league still sleeps on him.

HT: Arsenal 1-0 Everton. Konsa scores the first set-piece goal of the season. Should be more. Everton have offered nothing.

If it was Arsenal, Aston Villa would be playing the nastiest low block right now. Their approach changes depending on who they’re facing.

I’m worried about Martín Zubimendi’s long-term future at Arsenal. Arteta keeps saying he deserves more minutes, yet he still barely plays. That doesn’t end well.

Aston Villa robbed Chelsea on Jackson. He was worth more than what they paid. Clear daylight robbery.

Piero Hincapié, Martin Zubimendi and Max Dowman all spotted with the team this morning. Hincapié and Zubimendi available is fine. Dowman being there already tells you the wide areas are a problem. Relying on a 16-year-old this early in the season is not depth. It’s a gap.

Early kick-off away at Villa today. Man City are not surviving that. Villa Park early on a Saturday is a trap, and this City side haven’t looked fully convincing on the road.

Hincapie is available again today for Everton. Small boost on the defensive side, but it doesn’t change the bigger problem out wide. Saka’s absence is the one that will be felt most over the next few weeks. I trust Madueke to step up. Max Dowman too.

Arsenal are set to make a move for RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa in January. Leipzig are open to a sale at the right price. With Saka out for weeks and the wide areas already stretched, this is the kind of addition that actually makes sense.

Letting Martinelli go was a mistake. With Saka set for a spell out and Tzolis still working his way back, the wide options look thinner than they needed to.

Declan Rice: 54 G/A for Arsenal in three years. Not bad for someone some still want to talk about as a centre-back.
