My nephew (@_BrockRider) shares a love for football & the great football movies.
He put together a little background music for the Gary Gaines “Perfect” speech in Friday Night Lights. Such a talented young man!
Tears in the eyes. There is nothing like it. God Bless Football!

I fully tore my meniscus in July, and got surgery last week. I will be out for the first half of the regular season, and hope to make a return in about 5 weeks. I have been working relentlessly, and my injury won’t stop me at all from being unstoppable when I return to the field.

SIK Pre-Season Player to Watch: Brock Rider, a 6’1”, 280-pound anchor on both sides of the line, returns for his senior year at Shawnee Mission East (6A). A two-time all-conference selection and 1st Team All-State Non-Senior, Rider is also a standout wrestler. With a 345-pound bench, 500-pound squat, and 20 career tackles for loss, Rider brings power and explosiveness to the trenches. He holds offers from McPherson and Benedictine and is set on making his final season his best yet. “The last four years of my hard work, sacrifice, and effort have prepared me for this moment,” said Rider. “One last chance to prove something—not just me as an individual, but us as a team. My mindset this year is to completely disrupt every offense we go against.” Outside of football, Rider is musically talented, he plays piano, guitar, and sings in Chambers Choir. Athleticism runs in the family: his dad, Derrick Rider, played football at Pittsburg State. #sportsinkansas
