It's crazy that there's a tool out there that's become vital to they way I do my job, parent my kids, and make major life decisions; and yet we barely spend more on it than AI
Lennart Heim
@ohlennartOct 14
TIL that global spending on alcohol is still larger than AI infrastructure spending this year ($1.7T vs $1.5T)

Don't do this

close your macbook and let your agents keep working. introducing insomnia: caffeinate for the agentic era. keeps your agents running with the lid closed, pauses unnecessary apps, and hops onto your phone’s hotspot when you leave wi-fi open source, link below!

To their credit, this got it resolved in an hour. Not an ideal process, but at least i know what to do next time (there won't be a next time)

Hard to run any business on @awscloud when they keep restricting my account (with false positive alerts?). Solid one 8 of availability 🙃!

Do we actually have better software since AI? What company, what product got 2x better in the past 3 years? Vibecoding feels faster but the production gain is 20% at most

Most of what I reject in review, a linter can't easily catch: comments that restate the code, a getTotal that also saves, swallowed errors. soft-lint: plain-English yes/no rules that Jev (or whatever) answers about each diff, after every agent edit. github.com/c9r-dev/plugins/t…

Ours was approaching this, so we bought some hardware, which helped a lot. Still playing with options around it tho!

There's no reason not to just hand your key in on the way out right? Its polite?

so I’ve been a “just leave” hotel guy for years. I never check out. but my daughter works at a hotel now and said it makes her job significantly harder. basically on the level of not returning your shopping cart

Clef is 5x the price and less accurate than Jev for my usage
Mia
@MiaAI_labOct 2
Cloudflare's Clef beat Jev in just two weeks How: "frozen" Qwen does one prefill pass, a tiny schema head scores every answer option in parallel, with no text generated at all. That's why it's 4x faster than Jev at 2x the accuracy on some benchmarks. And it's open source! Link to HF: huggingface.co/Cloudflare/cl…

Imagine going to the club in 1970 to hang with your friends and a band you’ve never heard of called Kraftwerk is playing and they ruin your night by inventing techno music

Maybe they picked it up in Malaysia
Ginger Tucci@Ginger_TucciOct 2
I despise the new thing of missing words out ‘going Malaysia’, ‘went Malaysia’ GOING TO MALAYSIA . WENT TO MALAYSIA. ‘Going gym’ GOING TO THE GYM. See also; people apparently not knowing the difference between drawer/draw.

People think this is overreacting but I think if you walk into the “don’t use your phone room” during the “don’t use your phone time” and then decide to use your phone we should probably put you down
wife supremacist@thefurlinatorSep 24
Immediately blocking anyone who defends cell phone use in a movie theater as the movie plays. There is no defense, there is no rationality, just the selfish, whiny tantrums of adult children who don’t think they live in a society

Apart from me not being able to register, looks pretty good (I can normally get around ok with Alipay but it would be useful to have both options)
