Ran tons of AR Mesh with the “extra” WR in CFL - shows even the legends can learn, adapt and grow - that lesson stayed with me my entire career - very approachable and likable, sorry to hear of his passing
Completely changed the way I coached and planned the offense from then forward - went on to produce 11k passing yards and 6k rushing yards over the next 3 years - years later, when Dane played for him in Hamilton, he too had intertwined aspects of RNS and Air-Raid -
Spent 3 days in Abilene at Hal Mumme’s McMurry Air-Raid Conference (2009ish) - June was at SMU at the time, came down to “learn” as well - spent about 10 hours with him, Hal and all Mumme’s disciples (-Leach) at the hotel bar/lobby talking ball - Freaking Awesome!!!
After a daily presser, I'll never forget June Jones explaining and demonstrating to @TSN_Marsh & myself why he always instructed OLinemen to block the outside shoulder to stay out of the gap to prevent getting rolled up in the pile.
RIP coach.

The fact that this guy think DANNY AINGE is some guy that got into the NBA on accident because of his looks I assume. Dude do you realize DANNY AINGE is the ONLY PERSON in Sports history to be a 1st team All American in BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL & BASEBALL??? You realize AINGE played 3 seasons for The Toronto Blue Jays??
