FEAR 2 is, in many ways, an improvement. But in the process of polishing- it sands off the rough edges that made the first game memorable.
Project Origin is objectively a better game, but also less inspiring than its older brother.

FEAR is a game best remembered through dissection. It *mostly* doesn't hold up during play. Innovative mechanics but 90% of the game is wandering dull, identical office cubicles and sewers with weak jumpscares and samey enemies.
It's uglier Doom 3 with karate.
