We’ve set a target of £500 to hit, with Marie Curie being my sole focus to get to the end!
Any donations would be greatly appreciated - 2026tcslondonmarathon.enthus…

On 26th April, I’m going to be attempting to run the London Marathon, raising money for @mariecurieuk , a brilliant Charity who help with end of life care & has helped my family personally.
I hate running, my body hates running so the only aim is to finish!
An on site Sport Psychologist for the performers at every single event, regardless of how big/small it is. Even if 1 person speaks that day…success.
Or even a normal Psychologist for the support networks.
Its a no brainer. @MindCharity @JohnstonesUK #PaintTheWholePicture
"I think you should be able to have someone in your corner between frames!" 😲
Agree with Kyren Wilson? 👀
He and wife Sophie took part in an event in conjunction with @MindCharity and @JohnstonesUK called 'Paint the Whole Picture'.

Colchester United, What is wrong with this club? Part 2: The Update
Wrote a follow up piece to the one I did a year ago. Written in less anger, but more rationality to the situation we are in and the restrictions we have
Take a read if you like! #colu

Written in anger, frustration and disappointment. Colchester United, What is wrong with this club?
Maybe the writings been on the wall since 2006. I’d encourage any #colu fan to take a read or anyone who wonders about our decline in the EFL.

Replying to @liamb0798 @_ESPsychology
A shameless plug, i’m here for it.
But completely agree.
Big pricetag
Fear of failure
Lack of trust/confidence
Some of the biggest things we see whether you’re a £10k footballer or £100m
Why do you see Elite level athletes smile when the pressure is on?
Pressure can cause the body to react negatively to a situation. 📈HR, 📈BR, 📈muscle tension.
Next time you feel pressure, smile. See what effect it has on you in that moment😊
So @NicoRosberg is spot on RE Race Engineers being ‘mini’ psychologists on the radio.
Its the sign of a good psychologically informed environment, where the messaging doesn’t need to come from the Sport Psychologists themselves, rather a team understanding of driver needs #F1
How easy would it have been for Alcaraz to give up here? Accept defeat.
People will say he’s just ‘born different’.
Rubbish. This is a man who is so mentally strong and in tune with himself.
Mentality is everything to being successful.
You will get tired during your Sports performance, naturally.
Ever wondered why in big games/fights, you suddenly feel fatigued quicker?
Pressure. Nerves. Anxiety.
Subconscious muscle tension due to the pressure, wasted energy. Sometimes you can be as fit as you like…
“Nothing beats the power of powerful, private, trusting conversation coupled with rest and sleep”
Fantastic words from Michael here. Sometimes Sport Psychology needs to be solution based.
The reality is, deep and meaningful conversation can elevate more than you can imagine.
"When you feel right mentally, you go out onto the pitch a different player" 🙆
Find out how @BrentfordFC are optimising potential by focusing on player and staff care 🗣️

The night before a match the pressure starts to build
“How will I play?”
“Will I be good enough?”
“What happens if I make a mistake?”
Mental preparation doesnt start an hour before the game. It can start days before.

The journey Rory has been on. The doubters. The setbacks. The resiliency.
It will go down as one of the great all time stories & that was a pleasure to watch!

Andre Onana has come in for a lot of criticism for recent performances.
IMO, this is psychological. He seems to lack a mental model which encourages resets and refocussing of his concentration.
A simple mental model which encompasses a self-talk mantra, could be the 🔑

Harry is also now just £70 short of hitting his £1500 target! I’m sure we can get him there before the end. Link to donate⬇️#colu

Lewis Hamilton is the epitome of a Challenge mindset.
A horrible race 1 in new colours and a team notorious for pressure, would have sunk many other drivers.
Not Lewis. New week, fresh start, attack with opportunities and view it as a chance to improve, rather than fear.

Not really one for self praise.
But officially became a registered Health Care Professional today😃
Another step on the sport psychology journey! @_ESPsychology
A great exert of an interview with Red Bull Racing F1 Mechanic and part of the pit stop crew.
What do we see here?
Self Talk and Mantra’s.
Sport Psychology 101.
A thread🧵
