LEADERS! Even if you have been doing this work for 5 YRS, 10 YRS, or 20 YRS...always remember that it could be their FIRST and ONLY with you. When we create VALUE and CONNECTION they won’t want it to end. Have a great year! #leadfromwhereyouare #hackingleadership #1minwalk2work – at Wisconsin, USA

You may not win them over day 1 or even day 10!
But when you’re consistent in your approach and continue to show you care...soon your toughest students realize there’s something different about you.
That you love them and ain’t going no where!

Some great comments from students on what matters to them in a teacher . - “We might not always show it, but we really do appreciate what you do. Because when it comes down to it, great teachers are like melodies that you can’t get out of your head.” buff.ly/2YcBTV9

Just because it’s always been done that way, or it’s the protocol or rule - doesn’t mean you should always do it that way - I’ll always do what’s best for kids! #relentless

Our job is not to teach the standards. It’s to break the standards apart, discover what's interesting about them to students, and then create learning experiences to bridge the two.
