Marvel held a drone show in Korea for ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ that included a transition from Iron Man to Doctor Doom.
Can’t wait to see more of this. Will definitely take some of the burden off the utility bills hopefully.
Our TPUs just phoned home... from space.
In early October, we sent four TPUs into orbit to test whether our AI hardware could operate in space. The initial goal was to see if our chips could turn on, process a prompt, and transmit a response back to Earth.
This week, we got our answer.
ALT A graphic set against starry space with a satellite above and Earth below reads, "This week, we prompted our TPUs to generate a haiku from space." Four steps with icons detail sending a ground station command, powering the TPU with solar energy, running Gemma, and returning the reply.
ALT Headline text reads, "Soon after, we got a transmission back," noting this moonshot to power compute in space may work. A terminal callout and monitor photo show the ground prompt and Gemma's haiku: "Blue marble below, Data streams in silent grace, Starlight feeds my core."

Patrick Stewart’s final acting role will be as Professor X in ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’
Will definitely be missed.
All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.
Well….I have a new favorite Winter Lager thanks to @GLBC_Cleveland 🍻 Really well balanced and flavorful.
