Another one, some 2021 releases that I enjoyed for the most part and then returning to some old favorites.
I listen to a lot of stuff just on album art alone. But an album that got me into heavier music was Pallbearer's Foundations of Burden. Would love to own it physically someday!
Forgot to post yesterday. But a bit of a familiar week with a lot of returns to bands I’ve enjoyed for a long time (arctic monkeys, beach boys, strokes) continued the deer hunter binge, and discovered the new nick cave album (great stuff)
Another 5x5. Mix of Coheed (Went on a discography binge this week) BTBAM, Morbid Angel, and Deerhunter mostly. Revisited Miles Davis, and Jonn Serrie, as well as Korn for some reason. New discoveries include Violent Soho, Wolf King, Low, Galaxie 500, and Flying Saucer Attack.
I don’t believe I shared this yet, but despite Coheed and Cambria being one of my favorite bands, I’d yet to own any of their records on vinyl yet. Well that changed when this arrived. It makes me very happy to finally add some coheed to the collection.
Despite the top spot of the Type O album, I just couldn't get into it. Deerhunter and Altin Gun were cool discoveries. Still jamming the new King Gizz. My prog metal tendencies are starting to show up again a little too. Overall had a good week of music discovery!
Lots of new to me stuff this past week ranging from pretty neat to downright amazing. Couple of favorites on here too (King gizz, the strokes, and nightlands.)
