Sledging has been an integral part of cricket and it surely adds a different flavour to the game. Here is a thread 🧵 on some of the funny sledges taken place on cricket field!
1. Mark Waugh and James Ormand:
"what are you doing out here, you are clearly not good enough… to play for England."
In a swift and clever comeback, Ormond retorted, “Maybe so, but at least I’m the best player in my family."

🧵My favourite Jimmy Anderson story comes from 29 June 2021. It was the day England beat Sri Lanka in an ODI at Chester-Le-Street but, more notably, the day England beat Germany in the Euros. Anderson was working @bbctms on commentary that day...

After the events of Thursday evening, we, as a club, have taken the decision to start a GoFundMe page for those willing to donate after many suggestions from members and the public to do so! We are touched and grateful for all the support we have received!

Match abandoned due to rain so we finished off with a slightly different looking relay between the two sides! @OakhamCricket @LongSuttonCC @cricketdistrict

1st XI chased 153 in a 7 wkt win on the road against a quality @NewboroughCC side. @_JBaker30_ with 4 wickets (all bowled) and skipper @burtoninho147 supporting with 3 before a unbroken 80 stand between @timbonorris (62*) and new signing JJ Gray (30*) saw them home!

🏏 Year 15 has begun. A hard fought victory to kick start the season yesterday. Nothing more satisfying than defending a low total #MightyMaroons

You know that when Aston Martin disable YouTube comments on the car launch stream that you're gonna have a 30 min chat with Lawrence Stroll 😂

I would kindly like Netflix/Drive to Survive to accidentally linger around the Red Bull motorhome for the next 1-2 hours recording all audio
Please and thank you
Best win of the year. Won’t ever get sick of that winning feeling #mightymaroons
That winning feeling is unmatched. After a horror month on the field, yesterday meant a lot. What a club! #LSCC
