⏳⏳ Cheers to the night candles that never went off. To the ray of hope that never gave up flame. To the tears that kept calling for more and the Grace to go after more. Cheers, To the persistence and grit. To the illumination of purpose and humbling privilege to get the opportunity to touch lives and dream further. To the assurance in the Grace of the maker today, tomorrow and forever. Grateful. #BJA #TDMW

It’s the weekend. Time to take stock after a brutal week in the markets. I have caught myself thinking about what the money lost on screen could have paid for. Then I remind myself: regret is a feeling. It is not an investment strategy. 🧵

Reconnected with classical music past weekend. This has been the pick of the bunch so far and an early theme for 27. Flow….motion..fail fast, learn, iterate, act, live, discover and be in the moment. It always gets better. Anxiety, fear and doubt in the back burner. #BJA #TDMW

21 years ago I named "Reddit" and everyone said it was a horrible name, but I insisted one day people would say "I read it on reddit" and used my CEO-privilege to overrule everyone + kept the name. Now the company twitter account (unbeknownst to them) is making the joke. Heh.
I'd tell you a joke, but you've probably already Reddit.

Underrated life advice: Have more hobbies & fewer opinions. Learn an instrument. Plant a garden. Build something with your hands. Cook. Paint. Run. The happiest people I know spend less time debating life and more time actually living it.

Any great explanations for why the default catering menu options at certain Nigerian functions are either Nigerian or Chinese food. How did Chinese food get such a strong foothold? Why not Indian, or Lebanese, or an others?

Everything is urgent in corporate until you ask for approval. 😂

Errmmm. Context and location matters. For a COO and economic class I can imagine, none of such issues should come up where he is staying in CPT.

My COO lives in Cape Town. We talk daily and they have rolling blackouts there at least once a month. He lives in nice apartment with security guard and his apartment was still broken into. I think Bali is better.

Bad time to be a middle manager with no strong opinions or skills because you’ve lost touch with the craft. Running the meeting and keeping notes and attendance and the org chart is not a job anymore.

Not to sound delusional, but please pray for grace. Life isn't really about hard work. It's more about alignment, meeting the right people, grace, mercy, and favour.

"Holy Mary mother of God. Pray for us sinners, now and the hour of our death, Amen! 🙏🏿" Last night after evening Mass was almost the hour of my death. I tripped over a concrete kerb at Accra Mall and almost hit my head on the concrete kerb. My left hand took the hit and my head hit the ground instead. With one functional hand, I drove immediately to the nearest hospital and have been here all night pondering how easily it would have ended because o was distracted and trying to lock my car remotely. Another lady in the hospital who came shortly after I arrived wasnt so lucky. She collapsed at home and they were administering CPR inside the ambulance in the car park as they got to the hospital. She died shortly after in the room next to me. As I was going to do my CT Scan, I saw here there all alone. Her family distraught in grief had left the hospital. The medical team had done their best and moved on. Everyone left her. That is how lonely death can be. While I thank God for my luck last night, seeing that dead lady alone in the room was sobering. Her son had come for a last look before he left. That was it. Life was over. That is going to be the fate of all of us one day. I say that Hail Mary prayer all the time and never considered how easily everything can change in an hour. I pray for solace for that family. That could have been my family too. One day it will be my time.

Funny many of the countries that fill up sustained phases of my days are places I have barely been to or never visited. Yet, and daily, we work out solutions that impact the fabric of those economies. Nerve wracking when I reflect, can be tedious & complex but perspective provides some comfort. But also a privilege, one that I do not take for granted. #BJA #TDMW #Globatrade #Operator
