Uhmm... Hi, I'm Fortune. 👋🏽
I'm a Frontend Developer. I build scalable web applications, with a strong focus on performance, accessibility, and creating great user experiences.
Right now, I'm transitioning into Mobile Development, and it's been an interesting journey so far.
I don't have everything figured out yet. Some days I have to convince myself not to give up. But I keep showing up because I know that, with time, it'll all eventually click.
I talk about AI, software development, system design, and tech in general. I share what I'm learning, the mistakes I make, random tech thoughts, and the occasional hot take.
If any of that interests you, I'd love to connect.
I'm always open to conversations about AI, collaboration, open-source contributions, and opportunities.
Let's build, learn, and grow together. 🤍

Encountered some issues today while migrating my Expo project from Expo 57 → Expo 58.
Mehn, it was just back and forth with my terminal.😭

I switched to Cursor last night and forgot to carry out some major configurations just like I had in VS Code.
Today, after migrating to the latest version of Expo, I started building and noticed that my changes weren't reflecting.
I spent over two hours going back and forth between my code and the terminal, trying to figure out where the error was coming from.
Only to eventually realize that I hadn't turned on autosave like I had in VS Code. 💔
I literally just needed to save.🤦♂️

aev also supports full mouse interaction, so if you don't like hotkeys, you never have to use them
built entirely in rust, everything is lightweight and responsive, while offering all the features you'd expect from a modern code editor and far more

I built an app for people who can't say NO to impulsive spending.
It judges your expenses before you go broke.
Try SapaCheck, it tells you "you don't need this" before your account tells you
Be honest, what impulsive thing did you buy this week?

Okay this is the truth here. Ai like any tool is making work faster. And work is still work and it takes time.
The sooner you realize this. People pay you for your time and experience not just the outcome.
That CEO ain’t gonna spend so much time learning how to build a website with Claude and then learn motion graphics and then data analysis.
It will still take his time.
He’s gonna realize that when he’s in a business meeting he needs to correct his code but can’t.
And then there’s the question if that thing will come out good. A wise Founder or CEO would still know to divide the work to others and still pay you.
But then there’s the stubborn ones. Those ones will want to do graphics, development, marketing all in Ai. And then realized they are doing a lot faster but with mediocre at best.
At the end of the day Ai is the great equalizer. The people whose jobs would be taken are those that are still using old methods in a new Market.

I got a new job as a UI/UX Designer at @CybershieldHub! 🥺
One thing I find interesting about Cybershield Hub is its mission to make security and intelligence accessible to everyone.
With Red AI making digital security more accessible and Sentinel bringing security updates and community conversations together, I love that the bigger vision is to help people build safer communities.
Best of the best!
