My new service with @optimum in NYC came with a free router... which, itself, came infested with free bed bugs...

I signed up a month or so ago. Yesterday, I took off the base of the device in order to wall mount it. Every space & crevice was filed with bed bugs of all sizes and eggs (or whatever the little ones are). I *think* they were all dead (some clearly long dead) but... outrageous!

Loving this epic take-down of British MP/fmr Tech Minister @DamianCollins who has not a clue about how encryption or law works (or pretends he doesn't) by Signal president @mer__edith. You can't back door encryption. Even "for the children." Well done. youtube.com/watch?v=E--bVV_e…

Ninth Circuit fucks over free speech rights by allowing Cali. to criminalize honking at political protests. Porter v. Martinez, 21-55149. 2-1 decision. Hope they go en banc. sos.metnews.com/sos.cgi?0523…

After many years, I'm uninstalling Twitter from my phone. The Russian bots designed to sow discord, in light of @elonmusk's refusal to reign them in (and, frankly, apparently support for Russia), have made it so that no reasonable discourse can be had. 1/2

I'll still sign in every once in a while and post newsworthy updates as they come, but I can't waste time responding to bot farms every day. Really sad that this is how Twitter ends. 2/2.

Did they seriously just post a Star Trek character while attempting to flex Star Wars fandom? At least they are consistent with their level of competence.
We’re boldly going where no government agency has gone before. Now that we’ve made all the Star Wars fans gasp, Chewbacca on this next bit. If you need to say Darth Later to your travel questions, reach out to our travel Jedi order @AskTSA. #MayThe4thBeWithYou

Courts looking down on pro se litigants is very real, and perhaps surprisingly, appears to happen even when you are an attorney representing yourself. People *should* be able to represent themselves on straight forward matters after research, but in reality are usually shot down.
So in eviction court this week, i rep’d 7 families from a single complex. I got all of them dismissed bc the landlord didn’t follow the law. Directly after my cases, 3 more tenants from the same place, pro se, presented the exact same arguments. But they were evicted.

Discoveryyyyyyyy :D In general, attorney-client privilege is waived when you sue your attorney to the extent necessary for them to defend the suit. What a foolish move by the country's #1 Fool.

In the same tweet, she complains that GOP shreds the Constitution, then advocates for the President to ignore the courts. I generally appreciate AOC for shaking things up, but that is both dangerous and dumb.
GOP are losing their mind over this, but there’s precedent - including their own. Courts ordered Trump to fully restore DACA. They ignored it w/ Republican support. GOP operate in complete contempt for the law until they’re in a position to shred Constitutional & human rights.

I just deposed a @CBP @CBPArizona border officer who testified that merely seeming nervous while crossing the border may cause her to take you to a back room, feel all up in your labia, and make you squat and cough. Even U.S. citizens. Gee, I wonder why people might be nervous.

I can't wait to send the depo transcript to Congress. This is absolutely outrageous and reform was needed yesterday. @IJ @ACLUaz

Some coverage by the lovely @NinaPullano of my case against one of NY's blue laws, prohibiting late night drinking on New Year's Day when it lands on a Sunday. :)
