Quantum readiness is a migration, not a magic switch. A blockchain can use advanced cryptography today and still need a plan for tomorrow. That’s what makes Starknet quantum preparation interesting. Hash based STARKs are part of its security design, but preparing for quantum threats involves more than choosing a proof system. What if your crypto account could change its own security? Imagine needing a new lock for your wallet, but replacing the entire house just to install it. Sounds painful, right? That is why @Starknet is account change capability caught my attention. The Bunker Checklist documents how the deployed Ready/Argent account can replace its signature-verification code through an authenticated account upgrade, while keeping the same address, storage and assets. No network-wide upgrade is needed for this specific account level change. Why does that matter? As cryptographic threats evolve, the ability to introduce a new signature verifier could give users and builders a more practical migration path. There are limits: the upgrade must follow supported account paths, and existing accounts don’t magically become quantum safe. This is evidence of adaptability, not proof that Starknet is fully quantum resistant.

Your trading platform shouldn’t mean giving up control of your money. That is one thing I find interesting about @grvt_io vision. With Grvt 2.0, the goal is to bring trading and earning into one connected, self-custodial experience. Not just more markets or more ways to chase yield, but a setup where users can manage their capital without separating every activity across different platforms. The unified balance is especially interesting to me. If earning and trading can work together smoothly, managing capital could become a lot less fragmented. Of course, the real test is how well the experience works once it rolls out. Grvt 2.0 is making me rethink what trading capital can do. The first 1.1M GRVT buyback and burn was a solid start. But what really catches my attention is where Grvt is heading next. Grvt Earn is expected to bring tokenized fixed-income strategies with target yields of up to 11% (not guaranteed). Stable Funding Perps are set to expand trading into stocks, FX, commodities, and indices, with zero trading fees and once daily funding. The feature I’m most curious about is Yield as Margin. Imagine using eligible Earn balances as trading margin while still earning yield. That’s a much more interesting way to think about idle capital. Security needs control, not just strong code. Ethereum has been a foundational part of Starknet’s security story. But depending on another network is upgrade timeline comes with a trade off: you don’t control the whole schedule. That’s why @Starknet exploring its own L1 is worth watching. The point isn’t “Ethereum bad” or that Starknet has already launched an independent L1. It’s about having more control over when core security upgrades happen, especially as cryptographic threats evolve. If future security requirements call for new cryptographic tools or a different migration path, autonomy could make coordination simpler and decisions faster, rather than waiting for another network’s roadmap to line up. This is still exploratory, not a finished transition. And independence alone wouldn’t make Starknet quantum-safe. Security is not just strong math.
