Thank you for the actual information.
Some helpful info as I’ve seen some fic authors concerned about this:
Google explicitly says in their policies that private Google drive files aren’t used for training by default. Source: support.google.com/docs/answ…
This is family business, please give us some privacy

All that being said — appreciate your fanfic authors, engage with content you love, have relationships with the authors that move you. This is a COMMUNITY, not a store. We can help each other. I don't have expectations for my readers because I ask they don't enforce expectations
As an ao3 author, here's my take on the strange discourse going around about stories being shared on drives:
I wrote it for free, I put it on the internet for free, I assumed that meant people were reading, sharing, and downloading for free
If I published a book, my expectation
it as a way to connect with each other. That's what the community at the library is about. If the building burned down, all the books inside it, it would be the community to rebuild and restock. The Google drives would refill the archive so go ahead — share them.
In case the trembles start and the need becomes dire
An ongoing🧵of my Twitter one shots, as requested by my #1 fan 😉😘
Full Disclosure, these ALL hurt. Enter at your own risk 😁
