How many apps still don’t support Liquid Glass, or dark mode or light/dark mode icons? Apple isn’t forcing the iOS 27 SDK until April 27, I can guarantee we will still have apps not supporting Duo until that date.

How many are optimised vs recompiled with icons still not in the side bar?

WhatsApp looks properly optimised for the Duo are the other apps, or just recompiled to be bigger but no side bar usage?

You reviewers need to stop calling simple recompiles with a newer SDK ‘optimised’ this is the bare minimum of support for the Duo, all they did was fill the screen, they haven’t moved their controls to the side or anything.

@StarlingBank any chance we could get early pay day like with Monzo? Also any idea when the iPhone Duo will be supported?

Not really addressed though is it, stuff like YouTube is just a recompile with a bottom tab bar etc

That’s just an SDK recompile, that’s not a proper Duo update.

Apps have had over a year for Liquid Glass and still plenty don’t support it. How quickly do you think random super market loyalty app is going to update for the Duo? Or banking apps.

There’s a big difference to slightly magnified apps like on the 6 and what happens on the Duo if they aren’t compiled against SDK 27.1. Big companies like Google are only just adding Liquid Glass to apps now, full Duo support for the majority of apps is going to be 6 months.

How long though? Stuff like banking apps will take ages, I still have apps on my iPad that don’t support landscape mode.

Starling literally just released their Liquid Glass update too.
