It all comes down to being able to enter altered states without the use of drugs. And yes, I can still do those things. I’ve trained myself to the point where I can do them with ease. This entire operation is supposed to be about cognition, yet the people leading it are limited in both their understanding of consciousness and their ability to interact with what I call the conscious field. That’s part of why we’re still having the same conversations about claims that remain completely unsupported by evidence. I’ve always had what I consider an innate connection to that field. Clairvoyance, telepathy, going beyond transcendental meditation, entering flow states, and navigating altered states of consciousness are all second nature to me. There’s nothing particularly special about it beyond the years I’ve spent training myself to develop and refine those abilities. I believe others can learn to do many of these things, but it requires guidance from someone who actually understands the practices, their limitations, and what psi is and isn’t. More importantly, it requires learning to distinguish genuine cognitive development from imagination, suggestion, and wishful thinking. I rarely talk about this stuff anymore because it seems people would rather be bullshitted by someone selling them extraordinary stories than put in the work to explore their own consciousness. They’d rather let people grift off their questions than learn techniques that might help them develop their own abilities and have some pretty remarkable experiences. And that’s one of the biggest problems with this entire subject. The people who should be teaching others how to investigate consciousness are too busy selling them UFO stories. I guess when you can’t do, you shill UFOs.

As I watched the latest @AlchemyAmerican with Prof. Jeffrey Kripal, I deeply appreciate his take on interacting with skeptics and debunkers. I just can’t with this infantile fever dream of UFO Believers vs UFO Debunkers. I much rather identify bad faith people (easy to spot) and avoid them. But we should all be inherently skeptical about everything in this field. I guess the difference lies on whether you are bring skeptical in good or bad faith. When it comes with "dealing with skeptics", people should be more like Dr. Jeffrey Kripal and less like Dr. Garry Nolan. In my experience, bad faith people exist on both sides of the discussion. Just try to avoid those and you’ll be fine amongst both "believers" and "debunkers", two reductive terms to describe people within the context of Ufology.
