The film gives a glimpse of what Mahershala Ali could have done with the character Blade but the fight scenes are very very scaled down despite the large build up of an ultimate showdown. He seems capable but the action is secondary to a strong story about faith and fatherhood.

Honey I'll Shrink My Expectations! Chinese DTV movie asks, "What if we make a military action film...but the soldiers are small?" This looks so stupid and I am all in for it 🤓🫡 Operation Hummingbird (蜂鸟行动) 2026 reddit.com/r/kungfucinema/co…

The first half opens like a Resident Evil game as a cop in over his head jumps at shadows and is always moments behind from an unseen terror. Blue balls building tensions finally releases as we get a live action Attack on Titan style encounter filled with beautiful destruction.

The second half sadly is a mess of repetition, janky CGI running animations, random characters, and a good chase sequence with great stunt work that goes WAY too long. The movie doesn't have an ending and badly needed more editing to fix pacing and remove alien "royalty." 🙁👎
