On Saturday -- community members, over 10 organizations and the family of #DijonKizzee -- came together in Westmont to demand that @JackieLaceyDA charge the deputies that killed Dijon w/ murder. Here is a short video that I filmed of some moments from the march. @LATACO

There's no cleaner indicator of the priorities of LA's ruling class than shutting down the largest COVID testing site in LA so the Dodgers could play an intramural game.

The March for Mely will be on July 19, 2020. We'll start at 2pm outside of the Northeast LAPD station and end at the Trader Joe's in Silverlake where she was murdered by LAPD. @BLMLA will be there in support as will many other local orgs. Huge thanks to @muttparty for the poster

What a shocker: Garcetti's offering meaningless police reforms. He will never get it doesn't matter how diverse the police force is. We need to dismantle them and the structures which incentivize racial inequity and extraction from poor communities.
Sit the fuck down, Eric.

Have you watched the news lately?
Are you frustrated by the both-sides-ism of the reporting on the protests, the city, and beyond?

Here's what I saw at Tuesday's top-secret @BLMLA action at Mayor Garcetti's house.
Protesters I talked to were young & sharp on issues like DA policy & city budgets. Heads up: a formidable generation is coming up. They're not satisfied to wait for change laist.com/2020/06/02/protest…

When rebellion leads to community control of land and resources, we are demonstrating alternatives to the system of private ownership the police are designed to serve and protect above all else. This is much more dangerous to them than looting and they won’t show it on TV.

We want services that help and strengthen our communities, not tear them about. We need to stop funding the people that terrorize black and brown communities. We need to #DefundThePolice and we need a #PeoplesBudgetLA.
