Your prayers may seem unanswered, and opportunities may keep slipping away. But God’s love isn’t measured by your progress.
You are not forgotten.
“Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands.” — Isaiah 49:15–16 (KJV)

When younger folks tweet wrong professional takes, especially out of excitement from new knowledge, I don’t think it is right to quote them with snide remarks.
As a senior professional, you should be committed to helping them do better. Respond with a gentle explainer or better still, just send them a DM if you can.
Where you sit on the food chain shapes how you network. If you’re an entry or mid level professional, don’t just network sideways with people at your level. Build relationships with people ahead of you.
Network upwards. Learn from those who’ve been where you want to go.

There is a certain confidence that comes with being a winner; you possess a Midas touch, and then the aura of invincibility kicks in, and that is when the downfall starts. So, if you are a constant winner, don't ever feel invincible and don't get complacent.
Louder or those one with jaggery and claim it’s sugar free

I’m actually of the opinion that if you want to build a solid career in the corporate world in Nigeria, Lagos is the best place to start, followed by Abuja, Port Harcourt, and perhaps Ogun State.
Sometimes, HR is the problem.
“Can you resume immediately?” If I say no, you won’t give me the job.
Nobody wants to leave a job without serving their notice, but when the new employer demands immediate resumption, what choice do you have?

Not to invalidate your feelings, but even international organizations enforce policies that may not favour you. The question is, how much do you need the job, and which matters more to you?
Dear recruiters,
You guys have taunted me for so long. I am tired. Literally.
You saw my TikTok content (where I just teach the foundation of operations) and liked it.
You said you wanted to headhunt me for a role, made me go through everything, said you loved me, etc.
You brought up my TikTok, we talked about it, and you said you were good.
You sent me a contract and said I should not continue with my TikTok as it may conflict with the company.
I negotiated. Now you are sending me “unfortunately”?
Should have left this stupid country the two times I got the funding for it.
But we move!
On my way to moonshot 🙂🚀

A very touching story 😢😢
God bless Busayo Animasahun wherever she is 🙏🏽
ANIMASAHUN for real 👏🏽👏🏽
My department can be restructured to reduce headcount, especially when funding is limited. But AI cannot totally take my job
Make AI go Maiduguri go convince stakeholders the importance of education, or go to a community and mobilise support to revamp a PHC.
15 years on work permit that is new
Almost 15 years in Canada. The work permit has expired, savings are nearly gone, and somebody is asking whether to return to Lagos.
Before you say “just come home”, where exactly are they coming to?
This Nigerian wrote that they arrived in Canada at 15. They say they haven't been able to work since their permit expired last year. A friend is housing them while they study French and hope to continue pursuing permanent residence.
They are considering Lagos and perhaps starting a business. But they also say they have no family there on good terms with them. In Canada, they at least have that friend, a church community and a few real friends.
So returning is not automatically moving back into a ready-made support system.
I won't prescribe an immigration route from a short post. I also won't sell “start a business” to someone whose savings are almost finished as if customers will meet them at Murtala Muhammed.
If going home is the better option, let it be because there is somewhere to land. The word home alone cannot provide accommodation.
