It’s actually crazy how you grow up thinking home-cooked meals every day are just normal, then get older and realise how much time and effort it took your Mom to make that happen and how lucky you were to have that.

It's not a pandemic. We can get laid without commitment, cook better than most women or just use ubereats, clean our own homes or higher a helper and come back to peace and quiet. What exactly is a wife going to add?

Any vote for a non winning presidential candidate is a vote for Ruto and to be fair it’s too early to ask about manifestos ndugu for now we’re telling Ruto has failed early next year we should listen to what all the presidential candidates are offering. To be fair even this Maraga hasn’t given us his manifesto or any other person in the opposition for that matter.
You’re being disingenuous here.

The Kenya Revenue Authority (Amendment) Bill 2026 has been signed into law this morning.
A markedly different piece of legislation from the copy we first saw in June (see quoted tweet).
Key additions:
· The law now provides that the funds of the Kenya Revenue Authority shall include an amount not less 2.0% of the revenue estimated in the financial estimates for each financial year to be collected by the Authority
· The law now provides for an incentive measure for staff at the Kenya Revenue Authority at 3.0% of the revenue actually collected in any quarter of the financial year in excess of the amount estimated to be collected
· The law now provides that the Managing Director of the Kenya Ports Authority will be a member of the Board of the Kenya Revenue Authority
The Kenya Revenue Authority (Amendment) Bill of 2026 is out!
Unlike what we saw with the Central Bank of Kenya (Amendment) Bill of 2026 (see quoted tweet), this one is principally a clean up exercise.
We can see deletion of reference to the Standards Levy Order, 1990 & the Sugar Act (repealed). In their place, we will now have the Standards (Standards Levy)
Order of 2025 (Legal Notice 136/2025) & the Sugar Act, 2024.
The word “ex-officio” with regard to the Board of the Revenue Authority is also being deleted.
