You can see 200 patients in your residency and still learn, nothing, while you can learn deeply from 20 patients. Patient volume matters, but where there are no enough manpower, proper residency 'academic structure', volume is just burn out and repetition, and not learning.

This is why I don’t like APC ! All the noise about reforms is them fixing what their party broke initially !
In 2015 JP Morgan dropped Nigeria from its bond index because foreign investors couldn’t get their dollars out. Eleven years later, it’s planning to open a bank here. It wants a merchant bank running before year-end, pending CBN approval. Last month it also put Nigeria in a new emerging-market bond index at 7.4%. Don’t expect an account though. Merchant banks serve big companies and government, not individuals. Still, when the world’s biggest bank moves in, global investors pay attention.

Every Nigerian deserves to be found. Every business deserves the chance to reach its customers. And every community deserves to be within reach of opportunity. Today, we are launching the National Digital Alphanumeric Postcode System by @NipostNgn , a significant step towards a Nigeria where your location connects you to more possibilities. Think of the small business ready to deliver beyond its neighbourhood, the family waiting for emergency help and the community that government needs to reach with essential services. An accurate postcode can make a meaningful difference in each of these lives. As we work towards H.E. President @officialABAT’s ambition for a $1 trillion economy, we must build the foundations that allow more Nigerians to participate, trade and prosper. This is one of those foundations, and I am deeply excited about what we can build with it. Please find your postcode here - postcode.gov.ng/ and start using it. Share this video, encourage your family and friends to find theirs, and help us take this message into every community. I also want to hear from you: Was finding your postcode easy? Have you started sharing and using it? What would you like it to make possible for you, your business or your community? Share your experience in the comments because your feedback will help us make this work better for everyone. Let’s put our communities on the map and bring opportunity closer to every Nigerian.

Ghana said no to the US health compact. Nigeria said yes. What does each country get, and what does it give up? And who fills the funding gap? A two-part series from Consilium. Part 1 is live tomorrow , and Part 2 lands later in October. Follow @consiliumng 👍🏾

There are hospitals that cannot check electrolytes of patient with hyperglycemic emergencies in real time and MDCN is not interested in seeking solution to that but to increase the COGS fee. Why are we cowardly? Why do we sacrifice our young?

Hepatitis C used to mean cirrhosis, cancer, liver transplant. Now it's 8–12 weeks of tablets and a cure rate over 95%. Science did that.

This month makes it 14 years since I became a doctor. The journey took me 10yrs-5yrs Human Anatomy at Uniport and 5yrs Medical school at Calabar. I spent 11 years practicing and training in England and the last 2 years thriving in Canada. I’ve been lucky to have 2nd chances and have remained focused on building a reputable & robust career in Medicine. So, when I speak to my Mentees and younger doctors, I let them know I’ve walked their path and it’s just delayed gratification , grit & a sprinkle of luck or God’s favour that keep you on the path to success. So, If you try & don’t succeed, dust yourself up & try again. Tough times don’t last , only tough people do. Your dream is valid!

Spending less than 1M on rent is the least of the issue. The question is, where is your workplace😫? Sometimes it’s a choice between two evils because if you manage to escape rent, transport fare and/or traffic will be your undoing. Really stressful to be an adult now😔.
I don’t know how this will sound, but if you can avoid spending over ₦1m on rent, please do. Find a developing area and get a decent self contain or, at most, a room and parlour within ₦500k. You don’t have to prove anything by living in an expensive area. And if you have a peaceful home and a family that can accommodate you, honestly, go back home for a while. Save aggressively, build your career, invest your money and become financially stronger. There’s no shame in living with your parents while you’re building yourself. What matters is what you’re doing with the money you’re saving. Don’t let rent consume a huge part of your income just because you want to maintain a certain lifestyle. Build first. Flex later. 😂

I left my wife. It was a low point in my life. There was jail time involved. I briefly converted to Islam. I lost a long legal battle with Joann fabrics.
