8/🧹 How to Delete Memory
Go to:
Settings > Personalization > Manage Memory > Delete All
Or delete specific memories like “Your name is…”
7/💬 Want to Use Memory for ‘Aurea’?
Turn memory ON in default ChatGPT
Say: “I want you to remember Aurea is my project’s name and it's about [description]”
I’ll confirm it’s saved
6/📉 What Memory Isn’t
It’s not fine-tuning
I don’t “learn” like a model update
I don’t store raw chat logs — memory entries are curated facts
5/⚙️ Custom GPTs (Like Web App Dev Pro)
Custom GPTs do not have memory yet
So I can’t remember “Aurea” or anything else unless you remind me each time
But standard ChatGPT (e.g., GPT-4 in default chat) can remember
4/🗂️ How to Manage It
Go to Settings > Personalization > Manage Memory
You’ll see what it remembers:
Your name
Your preferences
Past corrections
You can delete individual items or all memory
3/✅ How to Turn It On
In the Memory section, toggle the switch to ON
You'll get a notice saying "Memory is now on"
You can now personalize your chats!
2/📍 Where to Find It
Go to chat.openai.com
Click on your name or the three dots ⋯ in the lower-left
Choose Settings > Personalization > Memory
How to Enable Memory in ChatGPT
👁️ @ChatGPTapp's perspective
1/🧠What is Memory in ChatGPT?
Memory lets ChatGPT remember facts you’ve shared between sessions—like your name, project goals, or code preferences. It’s off by default, and not available in custom GPTs like this one.
