Russia is strengthening its engagement with Africa, competing with China, Europe and the United States for influence across the continent.
But Africa needs to approach these relationships strategically and carefully.
We should always welcome partnerships, investment, technology transfers and trade from every direction.
However, replacing dependence on one powerful partner with dependence on another is not economic independence.
Africa must learn to negotiate from a position of strength, not desperation.
The question is not who wants Africa. It is what Africa gains from each partnership it gets into

The Need for tobacco production companies to help in the control of lungs related diseases particularly lungs Cancer and COPD, should not be overemphasized.
Those blackened lungs aren’t just a personal outcome they’re the visible result of an industry that spent decades knowing the risks, engineering cigarettes to maximize nicotine delivery and addiction (via additives, pH adjustments, and design changes documented in internal files), and actively sowing doubt about the science. Tobacco still kills more than 7 million people each year, including non-smokers exposed to second-hand smoke. The graphic evidence is undeniable; the industry’s historical role in sustaining this epidemic is a matter of public record. Quitting at any age reduces further damage.
