Those disseminating the false and misleading claim that Parliament has amended the Elections Act to bar live streaming of election results are advised to desist forthwith. Section 39 of the Elections Act, Cap. 7 of the Laws of Kenya, has not been amended in any manner that prohibits or restricts the live streaming or public transmission of election results. No such amendment has been passed by Parliament, and none is currently in force. The position of the law remains unchanged.

There seems to be an uncomfortable pattern of sidelining and undermining Luo voices within Linda Mwananchi by individuals entrusted with leadership in the movement. I received an audio recording of a meeting in which deeply troubling and undermining remarks were made. Soon afterwards, I alongside others, had been removed from various official groups with zero explanation. We cannot champion inclusion in public while practicing the exact opposite internally. This tendency deserves honest scrutiny!

This is an outright lie. Currently those earning 50k gross take home net pay about 39,029, the new proposal pushes that to about 41,112. The proposal is good for everyone.

No law of economics says PAYE must sit below corporate tax. Companies are mobile and can shop for lower rates, salaried workers can't. That's why most big economies tax top personal income above corporate profit. Cutting Kenya's top bands to 25% would cost billions but help few.

Personal income tax should NEVER be higher than corporate tax. How can corporate tax ( where expenses are allowed) at 30% be Lower than the highest income band ( 32.5% ) ? This is against the basic tenets of taxation. The highest income tax band should be 25%
