The point I never see brought up in the TCG resource-system discourse is that yes, the non-games where one player is completely flooded/screwed suck, BUT the games where one or both players are slightly flooded/screwed are really fun

The way Riftbound utilizes power costs has changed my ranking - it really makes the resource system work well. I have their system as #2 now, with lands still ahead ⛰️

With the current power level of Standard, how many of these actually need to stay banned? Outside of Vivi, Cub, Cutter, and Talent I think you could make a reasonable argument for the rest of them. If there was a "watchlist" it'd prob have Gran-Gran and maybe Rage/Hero

I don't get a vote for #mtghof under the new system, but if I were, I would easily include Sam Pardee. Im sharing this because Im not sure all eligible voters are aware how proficient Sam is at deckbuilding/deck selection and I want spread awareness. Every event Sam plays, I always try to find out what he played because I believe hes one of the best to ever do it, and it sets the bar on where I should start if im playing an event in a similar metagame. I feel like he's sometimes under the radar in that regard because it's not always flashy, but it's always so clean. He's so good at leveling between a tempting brew and just playing the best version of the best deck. It takes a lot of discipline when you've had success brewing to not rabbit hole yourself. Of course, he's also an incredible technical player, great person and now has the results to get the votes. No brainer 🙌
