I’m sick and tired of my country being made to resemble another country.

JO'B is literally the whiniest man in the country. He has such an incredibly easy job. All he has to do is tell people with high-status opinions how clever they are, and how stupid the Gammon are. And that is indeed all he ever does. Why is he so miserable all the time??

This is one of the reasons why some British people want to help illegal migrants from these crap countries get into the UK. They're not shocked or upset when British women and children are raped. They're pleased.

It'll raise about as much money as we raise from all those people "happy to pay more tax". They're all so virtuous and morally superior in theory, it's just the execution, ie actually paying up, that they struggle with.
Replying to @jeremycorbyn
I’ve got a good idea. Why don’t we make them optional? So anyone who wishes to pay them can do so. Including yourself.

Don’t kid yourself that you’re a generous or empathetic person just because you vote for other people to pay the bills.

Burnham demands answers as 12,000 Poundland jobs at risk. Here's one: when you tax business to death, you kill jobs.

Socialism is a mental illness. It costs a business 36k to employ someone on mimum wage. Many many people don't generate this much value for the business because they are unskilled. So...they'll not be employed. It's not a businesses job to pay someone "enough to live on".
Yet another reminder: if you can't afford to pay your staff enough to live on you don't have a viable business. #budget26

I just want to understand: When Trump promises cash handouts for votes, it’s fascism, but when Andy Burnham does it, it’s “breathing space”?

Dawn Butler is making a collective, ethnic, ancestral claim against the English. She's saying that, collectively she and her people, who are separate from the group she's demanding reparations for, are owed a debt, by virtue of their descent. This debt is owed by the descendants of slave owners, collectively - that mongrel English race that the snake Jacob Wormtongue Moggs spoke of. Her claims implies that she knows who the English are - contra Wormtongue - and that she is not one of them. Yet she sits in their parliament, and then, when pressed, when it's pointed out that she is doing this for overseas interests - obviously, as there are far more descendants of enslaved Africans overseas than in Britain - she resorts to handwringing about parliamentary procedure and pretends to be English again. Schrodinger's Englishness, if you will. Everyone else in the West - the Indians, the blacks, the Jews, the Mohammadans - are all playing politics based on collective interests, based on a clear notion of identity, of who is part of the in-group and who is part of the out-group. Only Europeans are burdened with individualism in their politics. This situation is untenable, and it will result in a backlash. It cannot come soon enough, given the speed of demographic change.
A stolen watch doesn’t become yours just because you pass it down to your children. So why apply a different rule to stolen labour, wealth and land? Reparations are about inherited benefit and inherited loss. Time doesn’t erase injustice.

So "happy" in fact that he only pays the minimum required to avoid fines or imprisonment. Just like everyone else. We really need to remove the apparent obstacles that prevent these generous, morally superior people from paying up.
Imagine boasting about being so poor. Your mouth is writing high status opinions your pocket can't cash ShitSham.

I have just been diagnosed with ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, gambling disorder, psychopathy and extreme narcissism. It feels so good to be validated. I always knew that I was more interesting than other people. 👍

It is entirely reasonable to reject immigrants from regions to the right of the line. Anyone who thinks otherwise necessarily accepts more raping as consequence of allowing people from these regions into the country. Do please let us know the benefits that outweigh this cost.
I'm shocked that The Economist was willing to publish this!

Sunday night on BBC with Katya Adler's programme about the Balkans in which she talks about the ethnicities of peoples of the former Yugoslavia. Next up, Bill Murray in Ireland, he purportedly being 98% ethnically Irish. All these lucky people permitted to have an ethnicity.

Yes. This but unironically. JK Rowling has money. She is nonetheless very much not part of Britain's social elite. In this day and age, elite status has very little to do with how much money you have. It's mostly about having fashionable, high-status opinions.

Not everyone's concept of what the term "market rent" means appears to be the same. For some of us the term "market rent" means "the rental price agreed through the bids & negotiations of market participants on demand- & supply-sides". For others it means "What a judge said."
The rent was reduced to a market rent. That's all the tribunal system does. Enough with the hysterics. This does not meet any reasonable definition of rent control. It's a form of mediation for landlords & tenants. Most landlords are fine with it. Just want proper resourcing.

This is absolutely hilarious. The court decided the market had produced a rent level that was above the market level. Lmfao
