I haven't tweeted much about it, but I am running a part-time, 6 week program this summer at Fractal to help professionals master AI agents. It's based on everything I learned from training ~100 engineers over the last 2 years. Check to see if your employer will pay for it :)

is there a You Can See Everything tpot group chat yet? If not, I need one. I want to discuss this movie so badly, but I don't want to spoil people.

I need 1password to build me a feature that systematically rotates my passwords every month, and sends the updates passwords securely to all the services I'm signed up for. Security just can't be a wild west like this anymore, we need secure protocols

this is cyclical, by the way. I encourage you to play long games, so you can compound something forever. One such thing you can compound is 'career capital' (what gabriel calls 'status'), which is, like regular capital, non-zero-sum by nature. It is not a ranking.
people need to status max so much more high status people saying "chasing status is bad" is such an effective way of keeping everyone below them literally the only reason why you care about a person you have not met is because they've done something publicly approved rant:

A country or society can, for instance, run out of career capital and fall into dark ages. Similarly, a country can accumulate tons of career capital and launch itself into a golden age. San Francisco and New York City have FAR more career capital than other cities.

my most schizo political theory is that elite overproduction and ennui, and intra-elite competition, are leading to an externalized sense of depression and pessimism, whereby we need to continuously raise taxes for welfare for [other people who are not me] until I am happy.

A lot of this started on the left, because they have this extended idea of family (socialism/communism), where the family and the state should merge together until everyone feels loved and supported by their state. But I notice that it has caught on among the new right, as well

I think there are good instincts here. We should help people, and we should create the conditions for economic growth and flourishing. We should secure the blessings of liberty for everyone. But also, it's suspicious when the person who is offering help is not happy.

you, too, could be demoing production software that you built during your first week at @fractaltechnyc if you join our next Accelerator program, starting November 7th! If you have ever thought "wow there are all these things I wish I could do with AI", then sign up now!
Tonight I demoed my AI event ROI capture tool at @stripe with our @VCPlatform NYC crew. I built this in my first week at @fractaltechnyc during summer bootcamp and over the weeks I realized how much fun it is demoing things! I love it so much, makes me want to build more things

Is there a cheap way to get subsidized credits for messing around with AI videos? They're very expensive right now, expensive enough that it's hard to just throw credits at the problem.

extremely cool initiative
Intelligence is an awful thing to WASTE! 20% of us max our AI plans every week, a huge waste of intelligence! What if we could pool that expiring intelligence & point the swarm at projects aimed at building the world of abundance. A tutor for every child, Cures for rare diseases, Cheap, abundant energy? 1/20

I'm curious to see how people are using system one models like Clairic and Jev in their applications. Anyone want to do some show and tell?

It still needs a lot of work, but here's a gameplay teaser for the Odyssey card game I've been making over the last week or so. Everything you see in the trailer is real gameplay. I thought it was pretty cool.

Cell phone use is not an addiction, it's an adaptation. There are plenty of addictions inside the cell phone, but the reason it's hard to cut out of your life is because you are trying to keep up with the current social order. You're trying to be useful to your society.
Cell phone addiction is an absolute thermonuke to the brain and nobody 'takes it seriously' because it is not clear that there is any solution in a world where the revealed preference of everyone across the globe, regardless of income, race, age, any factor whatsoever, would rather be on their phone than do *anything* else. Deciding "I use this too much" and meaningfully altering one's behaviour doesn't seem to have much success for any of the very small minority of people with the sentience or self-reflection to realize how bad it is. Most people seem to think of it as an unproductive habit at most, rather than an addiction. Any attempt to speak seriously about this is met with derision, accusations of pretentiousness. There is no real solution to it. The future of human cognition fifty years down the line is horrifying if you stop and think about it for even a moment.

"The economically useful work is inside the cellphone, there's a billion dollars inside the cell phone, if only I knew how to use it the right way!" This thought process isn't even wrong, it is mostly right. The problem has more to do with a lack of good technology education

Every single man woman and child in this country was taught to read and write their letters and numbers. This was a painstaking, centuries long process. But nobody has even invented a similar program for learning to use computation and satellite internet.
