john doe is a placeholder name, its a completely diff thing
but like rover is like very john doe/mary sue, not many characters flaws and instead of being like a true character involved in the story, they seems more like an overseer or a god.
its like cmon cant we add some variety? why do they never lose…?
lets not forget we play for the characters, not for rover… also lets not forget they changed the story to prioritize rover more back in the beta so, even the og devs thought it was gimmicky and overdone.
what gacha games even offer quest replay value??? VN based games usually put out so much text you just read everything new (ak, r1999), and 3d based games quite literally do not let you replay their quests
