🔥 we started by organising a conference: #LawtomationDays. We have found a true community.
For the 5th time, a multitude of researchers and practitioners joined us at the Tower to discuss the resilience of legal institutions amid the storm of technological acceleration:
This year’s theme was “redesigning” (the law and possibly everything). Among other things, we discussed the contagion in deregulation efforts, the normativity of bodies and imagination, the flawed superiority of humans and the adaptiveness of legal tools.
IE Law School Lawtomation Days has a unique beauty: its people. And our permanent centre of gravity is always ready to spiral out of control and comfort. Delighted to receive your feedback and discuss proposals for collaboration. Until next time!

At @IEuniversity , we asked: what still counts as knowledge when AI can produce something that looks like it?
31 submissions, 57 researchers and all six Schools offered a clear answer: technology matters, but human judgment remains essential.
The conversation has only begun... 🔎🎓

Dear followers
This is a truly brilliant article by Henry Farrell. Not because it defends me against the Economist (I have moved on). It’s the way Farrell frames and analyzes the issues surrounding technooptimism and AI. The Acemoglu Wars Are All About AI. programmablemutter.com/p/the…

Opinion: The medium-term horizon for UK-EU relations contains only two destinations. The first is something not so different from today, with marginally more alignment and integration. The second is rejoining the EU. ft.trib.al/6CMg6kF
