The Beacons started off the sweep by rallying from a 7-point deficit to capture the 1st set - their largest rally to win a set this season!
(Note that this same UE team won a set at home versus MVC leader UNI last Sat. and forced them to extra points in the 4th set)

For the second straight evening, @VU_VB took down an in-state MVC foe, as the Beacons went into Evansville and swept the Purple Aces on Saturday!

5 goals today for @ValpoWSO today in its win over Evansville. The last time they scored more in league play, a 6-0 win at YSU in 2015, Tori Penso was the center ref - she has since gone on to officiate the 2023 Women's World Cup final and at the 2026 Men's World Cup.

I brought this up today on our ride back from MVC Media Day, having seen in my algorithm that Julia Stiles had incorporated STLD choreo into her DWTS performance Tuesday night, and I’m proud to say @boyd_courtney immediately agreed with me! #ThatsMyWBBCoach

Brought this up in the press box midway through today’s win. An absolute masterclass from @valpoufootball on controlling the game today - only 2 more plays run offensively than Drake, but a near 14-minute advantage in time of possession.

Jordyn's 10-kill third set (in a 2-point set!) was the first 10-kill set by a @VU_VB player at the ARC since Angie Porché had 11 kills in a set vs. Youngstown State Oct. 16, 2009 (also in a 2-point set!).

A plethora of career highs for @VU_VB players Thursday, including match highs of 24 kills for Jordyn Gove and 23 digs for Keira Lucas, helped lift the Beacons to a four-set win over Evansville!
