In the Q1FY2024 report it was explicitly stated that XVI costs for advertising and development were ammortised in that quarter and in which they stated in the shareholders meeting that XVI underperformed, that in turn caused SE's stock price to drop and it in fact dropped even worse than when SE stated Forspoken sales were lacklustre in the FY2023 report. SE even stated in Q1FY2024 they intend expand sales of XVI in Q2 but its sales fell off the face of the Earth after a week and their Q2 and entire rest of FY2024 was dreadful results The entire 2024 restructure happened as a result of XVI underperforming and SE wanting to restructure their entire AAA development pipeline to avoid another XVI tier blunder, FF7 Rebirths underperformance in Q4FY2024 only put the nail in the coffin which is why the entire company restructured in April 2024 at the start of FY2025.
