It's true. It's the best and clearest and most accurate explainer I've seen of how RCV/STV is going to work in Portland's council district elections.

Totally agree. We have to change the law here in Oregon to make it possible to commit someone who clearly cannot take care of themselves and most certainly will die on our streets. This is not compassion.
A lot of maddening moments in @nicole_a_hayden 's fantastic piece on how it's nearly impossible to commit someone who's mentally ill w/o their consent (even when it's clear they've lost the ability to consent), but this one, for me, was the worst 👇🏼 1/2
