Hi, my name is Dr. Henry Eze.
I am helping to raise funds for a child who needs urgent open-heart surgery. She was born with multiple congenital heart defects. There are several holes in her heart that cause abnormal blood flow, blood that should be separated is mixing. These holes cause oxygen-poor blood to mix with oxygen-rich blood. They also cause leaking and pooling of blood, increasing pressure in her lungs. As a result, her body does not receive the oxygen it needs.
Her heart is forced to work far harder than it should, and her lungs are under constant strain. This is not something a child outgrows.
Without surgery, the heart progressively weakens, infections become more frequent, irreversible lung damage develops, and there is a real and increasing risk to her life.
The plan is to perform corrective surgery to close these holes, giving her a chance at a normal life. This surgery will be carried out in India.
We need £10,000 to make this possible.
To preserve the dignity and privacy of the child and her family, some materials are not posted publicly with this message. Full details are available via the donation links below, and additional documentation can be provided on request. The family is personally known to me, and I have their full consent to organise this support.
Please do not look away. If you cannot donate, your sharing may be what allows this to reach someone who can. We need both your donations and your social capital.
Thank you.

The BLUE WAVE is sweeping across the world. We can’t afford to be left out.
So many issues are on the ballot in 2027, and we must make an informed electoral decision.
Vote NDC.
Go Blue.

It’s today the nonsense APC decided to host another rally after hosting Shettima and co on Monday.
Well, they met their match today.
I even witnessed an APC thug pull out a pistol. Just as he pulled it out, some Kwankwasiyya guy pulled out their dagger.
We are winning in 2027.
Moghalu has resigned from partisan politics because of how dirty it was, proper presidential material right there but Nigeria get as e be.
Rigid will, broad understanding, impeccable integrity.
I rooted shamelessly for Moghalu when he ran. Even against Obi's ticket under Atiku.
We're lucky that Obi is bothering to engage with the politics. Good men should come forward for service.
The qualities we need aren't in certificates, but capacity competence and compassion.
I wish our electoral system could also take into account people we don't want, so that votes can show who we want and then who we don't want. A way to do this might be ranking people's choices and giving them weights. There might be a way for a popular candidate to emerge that way without being zero-sum. I haven't thought it out well, but I know what I'm thinking.

One of the perks of being jobless is it makes you very observant.
The dogs on my street are in a gang and i recently noticed they've ostracized one. i suspect it's because he tried to leave so he has been home more often now. i should learn dog coz this gist looks interesting
I went from trying to find out who the 9 passengers were on that Florida Learjet 60 crash to finding out how "Mayday" started as a radio distress signal in the early 20s in London, from the French phrase m'aider (venez m'aider, as in "come help me"). Most flights then were London to Paris

How Europe exploded the world.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The map at the start is wrong. Alexander the Great reached as far as India, Pytheas possibly reached Iceland, and Hanno sailed as far as Gabon. There's also the Romans with the exploration of Africa, and the city of Cattigara (in Vietnam).

I have been begging @MTNNG to restore my SIM, and have done everything they asked me to do, but I'm still stuck.
If I lose access to my SIM, I lose access to my security.
Opting for @MTNNG esim is like choosing to be stranded at some point in your life.
Might not be the first esim transfer or the second, but eventually, they will show you SHEGE!!!! and there's nothing customer care can do online/on-call.
Islam is very political and never passes upon the opportunity to press leverage.
The mosque in Rome is one of the most important buildings in the world for understanding this and the Muslim Brotherhood comment by Trump.
The mosque story was state level diplomacy not necessarily Muslim brotherhood but the principles and tactics are the same.
It wasn't built as a necessity but as a very intentional international rage bait.
If you build a mosque in Bradford or Leicester or Frankfurt, it'd be because of local needs, but there wasn't any significant Muslim population where it was built. Parioli, Rome. They demanded land in the most affluent least Muslim part of Rome.
They wanted it to be the largest, and the minaret was meant to be even taller than St. Peter’s dome. They reduced minaret by only one meter as a 'compromise', lol.
Build one small chapel anywhere in Saudi Arabia and they may behead you without informing your country.
All this was possible because Italy was on its knees , Saudi Arabia held the keys to its energy security.
Saudi Arabia exploited this to extract concessions from Italy.
So when Trump says what he's saying, mad man, but you kinda see it too.

I've been setting up a lean home gym as I'm struggling with time management.
Currently,
- Air Bike,
- Adjustable Dumbbells/Barbells set 50kg, extendable with standard cast iron plates when I plateau
- door pull up bars
- protection gears (gloves, straps, cushions, the works)
If I'm able to do 52 minutes of work out 4x a month for 12 months, would be worth it financially.
My goals are overall health and fitness and my metric is a lower resting heart rate.
So he was involved with the killings of our youth at lekki toll gate?
Are you asking to extend the rot and upending of democracy?
Most of you know this story, but none of you have heard it from me.
Back in September 2018, Femi Hamzat wanted to be Governor of Lagos State. He had thirteen years of public service under Asiwaju and BRF, with the record and backing to win. Then party leaders asked him to step aside for me.
It takes a rare man to put down what he wants without nursing a grudge. Femi shook my hand and five weeks later, agreed to run beside me. I have never forgotten that.
Anyone can read a CV but only the person in the room with a man when the cameras leave can tell you who he really is. For 2,711 days, I have been in that room with him.
When COVID-19 hit, when we faced our hardest weeks, when the Blue and Red Lines ran and when the Lekki Deep Sea Port opened, Femi was there. Long before any ribbon was cut, he was asking the tough questions an engineer asks.
In many states, deputies are kept in reserve. On day one, Femi promised to be the best deputy governor in Lagos history. He kept his word. In seven years, there has not been a single day I wondered whose side he was on. We have had one government, one direction, and one voice.
Lagos runs on a relay system. The baton is never passed to a runner standing still. You run at full speed inside the exchange zone, together, before the pass. That is how Lagos has been governed for 27 years, from Asiwaju to BRF, to Ambode, to me.
Femi is a deputy governor like no other. He built the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge under Fashola, digitized government under Asiwaju and holds a doctorate in engineering. His father served Lateef Jakande. This is in his blood.
Critics say Lagos keeps choosing from the same pool. I say Lagos trains its people. With major projects underway and a master plan stretching to 2052, this is not the time to experiment. What Femi presents today is not a campaign promise cooked up on a bus, it is the next leg of a race we have been running since 1999.
Lagos does not hand the baton to a man standing still. Today, you have seen the man who is already running. Let us move forward together with The Lagos PROMISE.
