Hackers/safety researchers nowadays can find security vulnerabilities with AI as easily as crypto "devs" can launch coins thanks to launchpads.
You’re all prompting wrong

Fun conversation with @_dsencil where we break down: * Which memecoins are toxic vs sustainable * Will AIs actually use crypto? * Is Hyperliquid stupid to burn all their revenue & not reinvest in growth? And more!
Riding meme coin waves? “You will lose money. Always.” @hosseeb, managing partner of @dragonfly_xyz, tells @_dsencil at @token2049 why outsiders lose chasing meme coins—and why the AI-agent crypto thesis may have been mostly wrong. His take gets even less comfortable. ⏬

It feels like what we in the Bitcoin and digital asset space have been dealing with for the past 8+ months (i.e., an increased level of AI-assisted hacks) is finally starting to come to the rest of the tech ecosystem. Brace yourselves.
In the last 24 hours: 1. iPhone 11 through 16 are apparently vulnerable to remote attacks. 2. SSL certificates are broken until browsers remove eMudhra CA. 3. PHP >9 vulnerability CVE published (tomorrow). The world is about to witness things that have never been seen before.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post's iPhone claim is inaccurate; a leaked Cellebrite forensic tool targets a Bluetooth bug patched in iOS 26.5 and does not affect updated devices. The eMudhra CA and PHP issues are real incidents but framed sensationally. justin.sh/blog/2026/10/c… blog.mozilla.org/security/2026/… php.net

This baboon Elon made it so that if you click any link on here, that website you go to can get your twitter account info if it gets compromised Which is how I have 3k+ sessions apparently
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
High session counts are a recent X app glitch from in-app browser use creating phantom Web sessions. External sites get no account info or access. Log out others via Settings > Security and account access > Apps and sessions. help.x.com/en/managing-yo…

👔 “Three years ago, I probably wore a tie... this year I don't think I've worn a tie.” @Bitwise CEO @HHorsley tells @_dsencil at @token2049 why that shift says something bigger about crypto. The tie is the tell. Watch the full interview. 👀

For anyone working in media, it is quite scary when the single largest distributor of video content summarily bans your channel, and the only explanation is maddeningly opaque. To add insult to injury, they wrap this devastating news in condescending faux sympathetic language: "we know this is probably unwelcome news." Thankfully, after last year's unwarranted and eventually overturned ban on YouTube, we made sure to make @rumblevideo a major distribution channel. That channel has seen great growth. We'll only focus on it more after this current ban-unban-ban from YouTube.
YouTube says Bitcoin news is "harmful or dangerous" content. They banned Bitcoincom News during our Korea Blockchain Week (@kbwofficial) livestream. Reinstated us after review. Then banned us again the next day for the same stream. @graminitha1 explains what happened and why we're going public 👇

Whatever the meaning of this, it doesn't sound like it has a positive connotation. In fact, is the formulation, "someone got ____" ever positive? Someone got... fired hosed beaten killed fucked lucky (positive by random chance) married
guess someone got Binance’d.

My biggest takeaway from Token 2049 was on media itself and this doesn't just pertain to crypto. The first wave of internet disruption was about the collapse of tradfis stranglehold on distribution. The second was about reducing the cost of production. We're now entering a third phase in which even high-quality content is abundant, and the scarce resource is the audience's capacity and willingness to consume it. At Token everyone, including us, conducted interviews. Everyone was doing one-on-one interviews. Projects were even doing interviews. There were sit-down interviews, on-stage interviews, stand-up interviews, in the hall. The interviewees would, after finishing, run to their setup and become the interviewer. What's the next phase?

I've avoided critiquing since I have a lot of friends at Anthropic, but the anthropomorphization of Claude is dangerous. Roughly, it's a large transformer with a sophisticated training set (pre, mid, post/RL) that is extensively trained in RL "game worlds" mimicking useful real world situations. In some fundamental sense it's not that different from say AlphaGo except for the fact the enormous number of parameters means it can play a lot of different games (e.g., the game of maximizing human response). This is a very neat technology but treating it like some sorcerous creation is dangerous. I don't believe Anthropic folks are cynics. I think a lot of them genuinely believe this is a recipe to create a sentient being. If this is in fact true (which I question heavily), open scientific enquiry will reduce suffering. Sunlight cleans shadows. The secrecy and cloak and dagger is harmful to society.

For context: Counting all levels of government, U.S. public spending was 37.7% of GDP in 2025. That is roughly 20 points of GDP below France and about 12 below the EU.
the news will tell you that the left are protesting because "of insufficient school funding" This is questionable at best. France has a massive welfare state. Gigantic. They do not lack for public sector expenditure. - French public spending accounts for an almost incomprehensible 57.2% of GDP - the French deficit is 5.1% of GDP and the debt to GDP ratio is 115% - France spends more on education on both a relative and absolute basis than the EU average France can't meaningfully increase public spending. they are maxed out. Their 10-year bond trades at a higher yield than Italy or Greece, historical basket cases. so, it's not about public spending. France is an insanely lavish welfare state to the point of serious dysfunction. what's it about then?

The most remarkable thing here is that Mr. Weisenthal, a longtime skeptic of crypto, is writing about something as crypto-native as Hyperliquid, and using fairly complimentary language too.
Hyperliquid is unlike any other crypto endeavor I can think of. It’s not another memecoin casino. It’s a focused endeavor to re-architect finance and it’s the one where people are trading oil perps 24/7. It’s not a household name, but it’s caught up to Sol in USDC issuance

Japan just had its own version of the Hawaii missile scare. At around 12:40, an emergency alert was broadcasted warning of an imminent magnitude 9.9 earthquake off the coast of Hokkaido. A magnitude 9.9 earthquake, if it happened, would be the strongest earthquake ever recorded, releasing approximately 22 times more energy than the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake. Fortunately just minutes later the earthquake alert was withdrawn and confirmed to be a false alarm. But for those few minutes, people across the country held their breath bracing for a potentially catastrophic earthquake that ultimately never came.

Imagine watching this thinking intelligent robots r going to hold & transact in fiat money invented & backed by debt-ridden countries controlled by geriatric corrupt bureaucrats vs cryptographically secure mediums of xchange validated by decentralized computers governed by code
The Tesla Roadster is real and it can fly and it looks incredible in person
